Me and my partner booked on the buggy safari and communication and booking was an easy process through email. The buggys are top spec and looked well looked after, they was great fun to drive and reached some speed, I would advise to buy a scarf before you get there as you will end up paying 4 times as much as what they cost in the cleopatra shops. Mohammed our guide was fantastic and was very informative at the Bedouin village although the village seemed fabricated for tourists but was good to ride a camel and even got a chance to hold a 130 year old tortoise, or maybe turtle lol. Drive back in dark was even better. The entertainment and food when we arrived back was also better then expected, good food and several acts of entertainment with no going round asking for the usual tips when they finished. I would highly recommend this trip if you are in hurghada

As a wheelchair user wanting to experience a sunset desert safari, taking one of Falco's 2 person buggy tours was an ideal solution. My partner drove, I was 'co-pilot' and my wheelchair was folded up behind us. As others had cancelled, we ended up on a private tour with our guide Mohammad who took us to a Bedouin tourist village before our sunset drive back to the base. Personally, with a bit of a dodgy back, I was suprised how bumpy and at times painful the trip was but we just took the ride a little slower, avoided the big bumps and once at the village, with a bit of help from my friends, I was able to wheel around and enjoy the tea drinking, bread making and the snake stroking experiences! I decided against the included camel ride but again, everyone was very willing to make it happen if I'd wanted. So all in all, I'd say, if you're a wheelchair user and if sand is normally your kryptonite, then one way to explore the desert is on a desert safari - even if your chair and you do end up looking a bit sandy along the way!

I booked four Sea Trips in 8 days on my holiday in Hurghada through Hatem at Falco Safari. I made contact from home by email before I went and arranged my trips all by email once I was in Hurghada.First up was a trip to Giftun Island. This was somewhat spoilt when at the end of the trip our ‘guide’ told me and another couple that our taxi had broken down and could we pay for a taxi home. We said no we could not. A taxi was eventually provided and Hatem took my case up with the company who provide that trip. The boat was the poorest of all the boats I went on. The crew were however very good.Next Utopia. This was really great I got a boat called the “Utopia Star” which was the best boat I went on. The boat, staff, transfers and service were all first class. We spent the day looking for dolphins, snorkelling and lounging on “Utopia Island” Dolphin House & El Gouna. For my third trip we started with a boat cruise round El Gouna a millionaire’s playground with fabulous palaces used as summer homes. Then it was off to Dolphin House which is a generic table given to an area frequented by Dolphins. We were nor let down. For my last trip I elected to do the Utopia trip again and was a little disappointed that I got a different boat the “Safari 1” The trip was still very good with staff & service both excellent. Unfortunately “Safari 1” is not quite up to the standards of “Utopia” but the crew did match it in service. All in all I had four very good value trips and enjoyed every minute. I don’t snorkel but really enjoy relaxing at sea.

Visted early Jan after reading the reviews on here, booked direct, pick up from hotel was on time, good and clean. The web site is priced in euro, if you pay in LE or GBP you loose a few quid on their exchange rate, but not enough to cry about. If you don't have either, they sell scarfs and hire goggles. Other than that our trip (morning safari) Did exactly what it said on the tin. Buggys and quad are kept in condition amd the guides are friendly and helpful, would go again.

There were too many agencies to choose from, so went through trip advisor and saw that Falcao Safari was highly ranked. Emailed them and was asked to call them on 201003905492 to make a booking.me and my wife made a private booking, it cost us around 750 egyption pounds for 2 quad bikes, and a private tour which lasted around 3 hours.Ensure you take a scarf with you that covers your face. Falcao Safari picked us from the hotel around 8.30, once we got to the desert, we were told that our guide, Mohammad, would be taking us.Mohammad was great, informative and funny. Taking a private tour is much better, might be a bit more expensive but you can ride the quads much faster. We drove for around 30 minutes, met some bediuns, had a free camel ride, climbed a mountain, then took another 30 minute quad ride back to the main compound.Would recommend to everyone, very well, worth it.Thanks to hatem as well for making the booking. If you don't want to do a full day trip like us, then the 3 hour one is very well worth it.

I have been in Egypt for around 6 weeks now but this day with Falco Safari was by far the most fun I have had since arriving!!!!We were picked up from the hotel and taken straight to the safari centre where our tour guide Mohammed welcomed us helped us with the head scarf and goggles. Out we went to be shown safety and how the quadbikes worked and off we went.It was just me and a friend and Mohammed in our group but it was perfect we went shooting off into the dessert the quadbikes went alot faster than I thought but this just made me want to go even faster!!! Was so much fun hitting the bumps and the hills and the ditches. Taking a small break in the middle of the dessert before shooting off again to a very small village. We were welcomed there with hot tea by the locals and were shown around their village saw how they got water and made food and even their pharmacy. Its also a good oppertunity to climb to the top od one of the hills and get a good picture of everything around you in a panaramic view.We spent a while there before being back on the bikes and quadbiking through the dark back to the falco HQ. This was even more fun!! all I could see was the red light infront of me on the back of mohammeds quadbike and a cloud of dust I absolutely loved it!!!Once back we were given a chance to clean the dust off us as best we could and a sheesha pipe before shown to an area where they serve food and put entertainment on. the entertainment lasted for about an hour and a half then we were led out back in a bus and back to the hotel.I would suggest this day to anyone as I thought it was the best day out I have had in egypt so far. If you are wondering if you should do it just DO IT!!! You will not regret it.

I e-mailed beforehand and they were really helpful from start to finish. They said to ring once we got there and they would sort out us go on a trip.We decided to go on a buggy as the person I was with had been on one in Lanzarote and said how good they were and it did not disappoint. To wiz around the desert on a buggy has to be in the top 5 things I have ever done (and I have done countless trips in over 20 different trips.) You travel through the desert for it must have been an hour if not longer. Then once there they gave us some water then we went on to go on the camels (I didn't as I've done it before in Tunisia but they looked in good health) then on to see bread made, some Bedouin people make bread, look at some reptiles including a snake and tortoise and some other things including how to make 2 triangle pyramids into 4 (it's good once worked out). Then drove back and stopped for sunset. Once back we had a show, some tasty dinner and a look at the photos. I found it a fun filled day at a unbelievable price (couldn't get 20 mins in a go cart in England for that price) and would 110% recommend and hope to come back again to have another go.We also did the morning quad bike trip which was just as fun filled and we'll run. If your in Hurghada and want an excellent trip at a great price run by honest people these are the place to go to!

I booked the big red buggies after reading reviews on here from other users. This was my second trip to Egypt with my teenage son. On our last trip we signed up at the hotel for the tour operator's excursion into the desert but all the hard sell, token gesture activities (30 mins on a quad, 10 mins in a dune buggy, foreveeeer waiting for the camel rides to end) etc just left a bad taste in my mouth. This time we wanted to actually spend time driving buggies across the desert (although we opted for one buggy in the end and I let my son do all the driving, but there were a couple of stops if people wanted to swap over).I contacted Falco through their website a week or so before we left and they sent me an email with a phone number and asked me to text or call when I arrived. We did this and were told there was a booking available for the Wednesday morning. We were given a password and arranged to meet the driver. We were picked up from our hotel at the agreed time. We stayed at the Grand Makadi who are a bit fussy about letting people through the gates so we met them outside – which was fine for us…peace of mind from the hotel and really it didn’t’ put us out at all. It’s about a 5 minute walk (if that) from the main entrance to the gate. The driver met us and gave us the password we’d been given when we booked which was a nice touch in terms of peace of mind, being a woman alone with her son. When we arrived at base I was pleased to see helmets, seat belts and good looking quads and buggies. This was one of my biggest concerns to be honest (the hotel operator had drummed into us how important it was to stick to the hotel excursions for safety reasons). The buggies and quads really are in tip top condition – I’ve seen worse in the UK. The dune buggies we used on the last tour booked through the hotel were lethal…. I drive cars & vans and ride bikes & quads a lot in the UK but never have I been more scared in a vehicle before than I was in the dune buggies – which to be fair, I think have now been discontinued! Anyway, back to Falco! After a short circuit to get used to the buggies and quads we were off. Admittedly we were at the front and we (as in the royal we….) weren’t very good to start with so we got moved to the back of the line for holding others up! But this was the right place for us to be and it made it much more enjoyable for my son when he only had to worry about what was happening in front of him! The ride itself was amazing – it’s very hot in the desert but as soon as you get moving you feel the relief. We stopped once on the way out there and twice on the way back (for driver changes and for the guides to check everything was okay). We had water before we left, water when we arrived, water after the camel rides and water when we returned so much better looked after on this trip than we were on the tour operator’s trip a couple of years ago.So in summary, if you don’t want hard sell (but do want the opportunity to buy pictures/prints/mugs/DVDs), and you just want to go out into the desert to have some fun on a quad or a buggy, ride a camel, see how the bedouin’s live and get some stunning photos and great memories then I can’t recommend this trip highly enough; much better than any tour operator will offer you. I know the idea of booking a trip outside the comfort and safety of the hotel can be daunting but as a single woman in a foreign country, alone with her child, I felt completely at ease throughout the whole process and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.Unrelated as such to the review but some tips for the ladies venturing into the desert:1. Clip all your hair to your head so that it’s contained within the scarf. I have very long, very fine hair and I resembled one of those matted, neglected dogs you see on an RSPCA advert afterwards! I spent about 30 mins working conditioner into it just to get the knots out! 2. Wear long loose trousers or similar to cover your legs, or if you’re in the buggies take a towel/t-shirt to sit on. The seats get extremely hot in the buggies – the quads have scarves on them to stop this but I guess it’s just not practical in the buggies. 3. If you’re wearing fake tan at all either do this towards the end of your stay or wear light long sleeves and trousers for this trip. When we returned I had dirty patches inside my elbows where the sand had stuck to sun lotion – when I wiped it off the exfoliating nature of the sand, wind, lotion etc just took a patch of tan straight off! This only happened on my elbows and everywhere else was covered so I think that’s what saved the rest of me. 4. There is a toilet when you reach the Bedouin camp. I didn’t need to use it (for once!) but another lady did.5. The cameraman is to DIE for!! If you do find yourself swooning, blame it on the heat! (seriously, if I thought I could get him through UK customs I might have been tempted to employ some ninja skills to kidnap him!)
