I have an old love to that tomb. Full of colours, beautiful details and although it is too small, yet you can esily spend an hour watching all details.Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) they installed Plastic walls to cover the colours and to protect them from people touching the old drawings.Be sure that the guards are running the fans, It is a bit difficult to breath in summer.

Some of the most stunning tomb paintings in Luxor. Learn about the village of the craftsmen who built the tombs of the kings and walk in their footsteps.

So many of the scenes from this small tomb are familiar from illustrations in books, you will feel like you know it already, but nothing beats seeing it for your self. Scenes of daily life and worship in ancient Egypt, in a way better than some of the royal tombs.

This tomb is an old friend from many books, but nothing can compare to seeing it in context and inches from your own eyes. One small room to be savored. And because Sennedjem was a tomb artisan, maybe he did the decoration himself...

Sennedjem lived in Deir el-Medina during the reigns of Seti I and Ramesses II. He was buried along with his wife, Iy-neferti, and family in a tomb in the village necropolis. His titles included Servant in the Place of Truth, meaning that he worked on the excavation and decoration of the nearby royal tombs. He was also allowed to create and decorate his own tomb, and the result of his labour is magnificent to this day.

Well worth the visit not only do you get access to a gorgeous tomb alive with colour but also the temple which is stunning. Not too many people visit, so like many places on the West Bank we had the entire sight to ourselves. The guardians here are also lovely, and far less pushy than the the ones at the more famous and visited sites. They insisted I sat with them and had some tea even when I pointed out I had no money.

Most of the tombs you get to visit are royal tombs, but here you get a chance to see the artisans tombs. Although, naturally, an upper class tomb, it is different and more alive than the stricter royal tombs. If you are on your own, get a taxi for half a day and strike a deal with the driver. Then you can decide your own little trip. So convenient and price worth.

This small tomb is considered to be even more beautiful than the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, not for its complex composition, as that found in the pharaohs' tombs, but for its vibrant colours that have been preserved until its recent discovery only a bit over a hundred years ago. This artist, who was an official painter of pharaohs' tombs, painted his own tomb which would explain the top quality of artistry. However there is one more tomb that I found to be even more beautiful than this one. If you can't get enough of tombs, then I highly recommend the Valley of the Nobles (see my review).

not many people know about this place...you would think that it was painted yesterday as the paint is that colourful, the detail is amazing and the guide will give you an explanation of the tomb...a must if you are in the west bank

Walls adorned with lovely and very well preserved paintings of life and death as it affected lesser mortals. Sennedjem was an overseer of workers, and must have been highly respected. Brilliant colours.
