Wonderful historical buildings to see. Great restaurants - try Oppie Dorp. The tree lined street is such a great walk

Attractive buildings, lovely galleries, nice places to eat. Would stay here rather than in Chirch St next time

I lived there as an eight year old child and the memories come flooding back. Stepping on acorns and dancing over the water slouches. Nothing much has changed except for the strange bronze man they've stuck on our old stoop.

Interesting mix of old and new, styling Stellenbosch but busy as it's a main road.Oom Sammie interesting and quaint but slightly forced olde worldliness.

It's what you make of it. Enjoy it if you stroll, miss it completely if you rush by. Make sure you have some money for coffee or a slice of cake.

The oldest houses of Stellenbosch. No high builings and especially the doutch stile transfered you back to the old days!

Try Asta, an italian restaurant. We also had excellent coffee at Blue Crane with a very funky clothes shop next door called Big Blue. There is Oom Samie's winkel is a bit touristy but worth the 15minutes. Stellenmbosch is really worth visiting.

Stellenbosch has become very touristy in recent times. Dorp Street has kept pace, spawning a slew of upmarket venues for shopping, drinking coffee, and viewing cultural artefacts.

Absolutely the best place to be in Stellenbosch. Bright, lively, lots of good shops for everything from tourist presents to high fashion restaurants and bars to choose from
