For a university it is nicely built and large. The area is very congested with traffic so plan on being caught in crowds. As with most universities, it has very limited funds so many of the buildings are a bit distressed. I was told that it has a large museum-but did not see it.

I had a good meeting with the prof I needed to meet and he was a good source of information. Everyone was very helpful.

The Kinshasa univeristy (the "Lovanium") is the big public university of Kinshasa occupying a sprawling hilly area. Some parts date from the 50s and 60s and have some archeological charm. However most of the university is in bad need of maintenance and money. The roads are poor and the buildings crumbling. Student housing is so insufficient there is serious overcrowding. The only upside of a possible visit is that in some parts it is quiet and offers reasonable views ove Kinshasa. A main reason not to go is that traffic around the university can be really bad.
KANEMA

à visiter afin de de se rendre compte du manque d'infrastructures et de matériel. Cependant les étudiants s'accrochent et essaient tant bien que mal de réussir. Pas assez de partenariat avec les entreprises afin de créer des stages et emplois pour ces futurs diplômés.

c'est une grande université contuite par Monsieur LUC JULON à l'époque coloniale, bien battue, spacieuse, mais en manque de proprété, les infrastructures en mauvais état et surtout, caractèrisé par la mauvaise gestion et manque d'une bonne politique mangeriale

c'est là première des Universitée à Kinshasa et elle ne cesse pas de faire de la République Démocratique deu Congo elle forme très bien ses étudiants...
