Had a super walk and talk with my granddaughter on an evening in the summer. We saw many birds; enjoyed an ice cream at Sweet Sue's and a dinner at one of North Beach's restaurants.

This community has a home town feel. It is very friendly for the walkers, joggers, and dogs. We look forward to visiting during the season to see how the town deals with the influx of visitors; to walk when the sun is shining, to go to the farmers' market.

Visited this town at a hotelier's recommendation, as "quaint" and full of interesting shops. Maybe in Summer, but late Fall found little activity, very few shops of interest, and almost no foot traffic! The beach itself looked lovely - but requires a paid pass and parking is limited to a municipal lot, with street parking largely reserved for residents. It may be a very nice beach resort in the Summer, though there are many others filling that need!

Small in size and pricey to enter...15 dollars to enter if you are not a county resident. They also rent chairs and umbrellas. I guess they are making a real profit. Parking is free. Free to walk the boardwalk and pier area. Nothing to do, but to sit and watch the water. The water is calm, so you don't have the waves to make it interesting. There are some local shops to eat and antiques. The bathroom is kept clean and out door showers. You can also fish off the pier.

READ THE REVIEWS NORTH BEACH AND GET RID OF YOUR FEES TO JUST SIT ON THE LAND THAT IS ALREADY HERE! $15 pp TO JUST LAY ON A BEACH WITH DIRTY WATER AND NOTHING REALLY TO DO! This has made people not like North Beach. GET RID OF YOUR RIDICULOUS FEES! -at that rate might as well include the umbrella and chairs, but nooooo those are extra - ends up costing $50 to go to a not so great beach plus gas etc. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT - Id rather drive to Rehobeth or OC for free as it should be

I use to go to this beach when it was FREE to get on. The town added a playground and cleaned it up a little, added a small boardwalk and now charges $15 dollars to get on the beach, $8 for children! The beach is NOT big at all, the boardwalk is just that...a walk on boards. There are a few shops and that is about it. I do not even consider this a beach town any longer. I will bring my business elsewhere. From the looks of it North Beach does not want tourism, so why bring out $ with us. They can keep their beach and watch the mom and pop shops crumble.

The boardwalk is beautiful- adorned with flowers and commemorative benches for relaxing beside the water. We changed our anniversary destination last minute. Glad we did. There is always something happening on the Beach. We strolled the boardwalk, watched fisherman land a skate and some crabs. There was a car show along with a craft show. . You can spend as little as you like or as much. To save money good idea to eat before coming down then just enjoy the sights and sounds of the area. Some restaurants have small casinos that are always packed. Good restaurants with good food.

Should not charge to go on the beach when you are staying at the resort, it would have been nice to be able to go on the beach from our hotel, we needed to drive and pay to go on the beach and rent chairs.

We had been going there for the past five summers. When we started going it was $8 per adult. The last time we went it was about to go up to $15 per adult. It was at this point we said enough and have stopped going, which we were not happy about doing. Almost every summer we went there the price went up. It is not about money, it is that we feel that we are being taking advantage of. My wife and I enjoyed going there about once every month during the summer. They a have nice little beach, great mom & pop stores, and nice places to eat. I understand that they want to keep their beach from getting too packed, so they locals can enjoy their beach. But sticking it to the folks that are putting money into the local economy is not the way the go.
