The theater is beautiful! They have lots of different acts that come to preform. We saw Penn and Teller and are going to check the Book of Mormon if we can get tickets! Lots of concession stands so very little wait for drinks.

The saenger is soooo beautiful and listening to a concert there is wonderful. It's so intimate. Not a bad seat in the house.

The last day in New Orleans, we saw "Mamma Mia" here. Mamma Mia is a great fun show, this was the third time I see it! And the theater is absolutely stunning with chandeliers, color painted ceiling, statues and all the details. We were both enjoying the show and the building itself very much! I have to point out one thing, the lady's room here is the best!I've been to theaters all over the world. None of the theater has more lady's restrooms than the Saenger. Plus, there was one staff/lady in the middle of the busy rooms, directing us "there is one space here, there are two open there......", the line moves so fast! I have never seen anything like that either, and it's wonderful!!

This was such an awesome show...I am a child of the 70's and I couldn't help myself to sing along and even dance a little!! This theatre is AMAZING!!! Seats were comfortable and didn't feel real crowded!!!

We saw Phantom of the Opera at this theater and it was wonderful. The theater is absolutely beautiful inside! If you sit in the balcony, prepare to wait in a long line for bathrooms at intermission.

Went to see Frankie Valli. The renovation covered every detail and the acoustics are great. Staff kept things organized as well.

The Saenger reopened recently and I've had the chance to see Chicago and Phantom of the Opera here. There's really not a bad seat in the house, even the back row on the balcony is fine, I'd imagine. I love the decor and especially the fiber optic stars in the ceiling. The acoustics are great, the lobby is just magnificent. It's so ornate and detailed, I'm glad they were able to salvage it. My only complaint is the traffic flow in the lobby. It's T-shaped where the three entrances converge right by the stairs, the bar, etc. They often place the merchandise booths here, so it's just a little too chaotic.Access to the bathroom can be difficult (but plenty of space once you GET there - the basement bathroom is the place to go), and the hallways are VERY narrow upstairs. Otherwise, a great venue and small enough that you can really enjoy yourself at any ticket price, I'd think. For a better value and better visibility, I'd recommend the front of the balcony over anything that's UNDER the balcony. They're not selling much in the way of food yet (if they ever will - it was sacrilegious to ask if there was popcorn being sold anywhere, that's normal theatre fare! But the place is recently reopened, they're babying it like a new car). They sell chips and some candies, then of course soft drinks and alcohol.

returned in Nov. after about 20 years and 2 remodels; however, the Sanger is an amazing place to see a show. Clean, beautifully decorated, filled with history and all of the seats are good. Located in downtown New Orleans, if you have the chance GO..

My partner and I went to a Melissa Etherdige concert here, and I can truly say, this theater is breathtaking- from the Architect- you will Loose yourself in the ceiling- the Saenger team members are amazingly warm and helpful- Melissa put on a fantastic show- throughly enjoyed the diversity of people. This theater is a must visit.

The newly renovated Saenger is better than ever. We have been to various Theatre venues all over the world and I would put the Saenger in the top 10!
