Magnolia Mound plantation was a great stop on my itinerary. This is not one of those more grandiose plantations, that might be called mansions or even palaces. It is more modest, but very authentic, real, providing a chance to see how life was some 200 years ago. The guide there was really good.

I have the opportunity to visit the plantation with my family. The staff was very friendly especially Janet that treated us like her family. The tour was affordable and very informative. I tour made me felt I was living in the past century. Spanish Tuve la oportunidad de visitar la plantación con mi familia. I love history, so of course, this is right up my alley. I had a personal tour of the home, since it's not a big draw in January, during college break time. My tour guide was really knowledgeable. Then I explored the grounds. Maybe when it's busier they take you to the slave quarters and overseer's house; I just had to peak in on them. It was fun imagining what life was like in the 1700-1800's on the plantation. Glad I wasn't there in the summer! This was a perfect day to explore it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of this plantation. The guide was witty, informative, and pleasant. The main house is lovely. My favorite room was the formal dining room. You get a sense of plantation life when you see the other buildings on the property. Very nice gift shop.

The house was amazing and the guide was very knowledgeable. I visited 9 plantations and this house is in my top 3, Rosedown and St. Joseph's round out the list The collection of furniture rivals that of the Governor's mansion. This is a hidden jewel in an unassuming location!

We had our guide all to ourselves and she was very knowledgeable and interesting. I would strongly recommend this tour if you're in the area.

We decided to tour this old plantation after visiting Mike the Tiger. It was a guided tour with the leader knowing a lot of history. It was very educational. My eight year old daughter was very interested in it. She asked plenty of questions and he was eager to answer. I would recommend this tour to everyone!!!!

This is a charming old plantation, which brings its history to life with a very good tour and a nice feel about the place. Although now in the middle of the city, it still conveys what it was like when this was out in the country, and what life was once like there.

We've been to a lot of old homes..know more facts and I care to know..but give me a good story..well that's worth retelling again and again. How about the Prince that lived there? Now that is a story.

on the day we went, half of the attraction was closed, but we were charged FULL price for a self-guided "tour" of the grounds! don't waste your time. go to a REAL plantation on river road
