Very close to Whitefish although it is in rural area and it is a pleasant treed area. It is right on the small Whitefish Lake, great for swimming and fishing. Dogs not allowed on or near beach. There are a few sites for larger RV's but not many. The only negative is the train noise. It goes by frequently. I took a site right near the tracks, unknowingly, and was woken up a number of times at night with the ground shaking!. Bathrooms and showers good and it is a very clean park.

We like to hang out here and people watch or wade in the lake after a day on Whitefish Mountain (zip-lining or riding the chair lift). Food is nothing great but there is some to be purchased if you wish. Open to the public.

We found our way here to just sit and relax just before sunset. Quiet scenic views and just chilled.

I took my morning job out to the park. It was a pleasant surprise that it was so close to town. The view in the morning was lovely.

This state park campground was nestled in nice vegitation and had easy access to Whitefish Lake, BUT there were train tracks about 30 feet from our campsite and the trains rumbled through 24 hrs, seven days a week about every 2-3 hours. It was impossbile to sleep through this noise. The website has the gall to post quite hours and that, "Children love the trains that rumble along the park's edge." Thank goodness we only booked one night here. Never again.
