Read the legend of the Indian Warrior "Running Eagle" who was buried nearby. This is an easy walk from the parking lot at Two Medicine, Well worth the short hike. I wore boots, as there was an early Sept snow.

A short hike on a well-marked trail leads you to a beautiful area. There are two falls in the spring due to the winter run-off. The falls in September appears to be coming out of a hole in the cliff.

One of the best kept secrets of Glacier Park is Two Medicine Lake, which is near Running Eagle Falls, and all of the trails available for hiking. Because it is on the other side of the park, by East Glacier, most visitors don't get all the way over there. This was great for us, because there were not many people and the trails were very sparse of hikers. We hiked Paradise Point, Aster Falls and Aster Park Overlook. Someone had seen moose hiking ahead of us but we missed it. We did hike by a beaver dam which was pretty neat. The view from the lookout is really great and it is a neat hike with different terrain and foliage along the way. Two Medicine Lake itself is beautiful and we would have liked to canoe but ran out of time. We enjoyed this area of the park immensely and hope it remains less traveled.

This is your classic beginners hike. It's less than a mile, and you're rewarded with a beautiful waterfall. We were unfortunate to pick a rainy day for our drive to East Glacier and Two Medicine Lake. The lake was socked in with fog, but our short walk to Running Eagles Falls made it all worth while. We did manage some great shopping at the Camp Store & Gift Shop. Check it out!

Running Eagle Falls is a great destination for those who do not hike but want to see a beautiful spot just off the beaten path. The Falls also has a wonderful legend that goes with it. The legend is posted on a sign in the parking lot and lends a lot of meaning to the falls itself. The hike in is hardly a hike, just 1/4 mile or 400 meters from the parking lot, all on level ground in a pleasant forest setting. In the summer make sure you bring the bug spray. All of Glacier National Park is bear country so it's best to have bear spray with you and know how to use it.

one of the more interesting type of falls comes out of a cave. Don't miss the last part of the trail to a viewpoint - best for taking a picture. A very short and easy trail to the falls. Almost all of it is accessible to wheel chairs.

This little gem is super cool - the falls actually spill from the center of the rock. It's an easy walk, with scads of thimbleberry bushes along the trail. I would have loved to hike to the top to see how the water bore a hole through the rocks.

This was a great last stop before leaving Glacier. We had seem many falls previously but this one was totally different. Very nice area for a short hike.

This is a very easy and short hike at Two medicine for all ages. Beautiful waterfall and the water is so clear you can see the rocks.

This was one of our last hikes in Glacier National Park. At 0.3 miles we were a little skeptical. We started off with the interpretive trail loop and then headed for the falls. The falls were quite nice after such a short hike. We were there in mid-August and the water was not flowing over the top of the falls, so it really looked cool just coming out of the rock as it did. We stayed a while playing around in the river and soaking our feet. Well worth the hike.
