The Palace is absolutely gorgeous! One of my favorite venues now and I've only been there once. Saw John Mellencamp here 1/13/15 and had 2nd row seats. A night I will never forget!!!

We saw John Mellencamp here. Very ornate décor. The acoustics were fine. This is a smaller venue, which provides a more intimate experience over some other venues in Louisville.

The Louisville Palace is spectacular! This was our first time at this venue and it did not disappoint. We were in town to watch David Chappelle and I do not think there is a bad seat in the entire theater. We sat in row S on the isle. and had a great shot of David all night!! This was a wonderful experienced that I am truly blessed to have had.

Just a beautiful venue. I think you could end up with any seat in the house and not be disappointed. We sat in row "R" about center stage and had a wonderful experience. The VIP tickets are worth the extra $20 since the first drink is complementary and the "cash bar" flat makes CASH!! They also provide hors d'oeuvre that were not bad at all. Parking was available in many locations and the area feels very safe. It's always nice to find a special place, especially when it's within your own city.

I have been to a couple of concerts and show at the palace and i'm convinced this is the best place to see a show. Not a bad spot in the place and the decor is amazing! This is the only place i will see someone in concert in Louisville.

Four of us started a 4,500 mile driving tour on October 3, 2014. As our journey continued, we knew we would be at Louisville, Kentucky for three nights; October 12, 13, and 14; however, we would not be able to attend an event at the Louisville Palace. While I was disappointed, I was determined that we might see the inside of this wonderful theater. Weeks in advance of our arrival, I was able to talk with Johnny Downs, Operations Manager. Mr. Downs arranged his time to give us a tour of the theater while we were visiting Louisville.October 14, 2014 - In the rain, the four of us drove from the Springhill Suites to the front of the Louisville Palace to meet Mr. Downs at 10am inside of the marketing lobby next door to the theater's entrance. We started at the theater entrance through doors that had opened to many events in several decades. Upon entering the lobby of the Palace, you see fantastic stairs going to the second level, an incredible carved ceiling of many faces, carved statues, and strategically placed lighting. Mr. Downs shared with us the following information about the Theater. The Louisville Palace was built in 1929. As we could see, it is visually, very striking. Built in the Spanish Baroque style, balconies, turrets and intricate detailing command the attention of any passers-by. Inside is equally as unique, with colors of blue, red and gold, a vaulted ceiling featuring 139 sculptures of famous historical figures, and another ceiling (in the main theater room) which boasts an imitation night sky.The combination of the Palace's unique design and decor, and its top-notch acoustics and state-of-the-art sound and lighting technology has attracted many big names over the years. BB King, My Morning Jacket, Celtic Women, Lady Antebellum, Death Cab for Cutie, and Elvis Costello are just a few of those featured on the Louisville Palace schedule in the past.As we continued our tour of the Theater, we could see all of unique features of this Grand Old Dame. Our friend even had a chance to stand on the stage and look out towards the empty seats, and imagine what it must be like to perform in front of a live audience at the Palace. This visit with Mr. Downs and "his Palace" was an unforgettable experience on our 4,500 mile journey. His sunny Southern hospitality certainly made up for the gray, rainy skies. Thank you, Mr. Downs!

I went with my cousin to watch Wanda Sykes. The Palace is just beautiful. The architecture is unbelievable and all the details on the walls and ceilings will blow you away. The staff was also the most friendly and very helpful. The place was clean, including the bathroom.

This is a classic old theater that has had a makeover, but you wouldn't know it...in a good way. The architecture, and overall ambiance is excellent. Not a lot of "new" stuff, but made over to look original, clean, and really a cool place. I love seeing restored to the original places. All kinds of shows, concerts, etc. Check it out!
