Nothing like it in the state or anywhere, a must do, beautiful property, horses, much history, all mixed in, pick a horse at the paddock, place a wager and cheer him to victory, a blast. I've been here many times as well as the Derby. Keeneland is, to me, what a track should be. Daylight and dark trying to compare it to Churchhill, but both are worth doing and judge for yourself. I prefer the spring meet, but anytime the horses are running is fun. You'll not find more fun in KY for the price, parking in the fields is free, gate fees nominal, can wage as little or as much as you can afford to lose (or win if you're lucky). You won't be disappointed with Keeneland.

There are three things you must do to experience Lexington; sample the bourbon, go to a Kentucky basketball game, and spend a day a Keeneland. I don't think there could be a more beautiful setting. Louisville has the Derby, but the surroundings of Churchill Downs can never compare to the beautiful bluegrass horse country that surround Keeneland. One of the great things about spending the day at the track, is that the spacing of the races affords you plenty of opportunity to explore at your leisure and still make it back in time to catch another race. Do yourself a favor. Explore. Head out to the paddock and watch the horses, the owners, the grooms. Walk right up to the rail. What the races from different places. There is so much to see. BONUS: The bar at the very end of the grandstand, furthest from the entrance has some great bartenders. We can't wait to go back.

We love everything about Keeneland. It gets really crowded, but it is an amazing place. I love the gift shop, a little pricey, but fun to browse.

Lexington waits all winter for spring, but more important to them than the warmer weather, is the opening of Keeneland. For a few Dollars entry fee you get to be up close with the beautiful thoroughbreds!

Lexington is the horse capital of the world and nothing says it better than Keeneland. This is so much more than a beautiful racetrack. They have wonderful dining, scenery, history, gifts, etc. It's the perfect day with family and friends. A must stop and visit for everyone who comes to Lexington.

More sophisticated, much more beautiful, and less expensive than its in-state rival track. Try the burgoo and bread pudding while you're there too. Even the beef hot dogs taste far better there than any other place.

If you are not a horse racing fan, you will be after visiting Keeneland! The track and clubhouse are stunning and very easy to move around in. Parking is very efficient and is actually part of the experience. We have attended the fall meet for the last 6 years. The quality of the horses always provide exciting races and give you a thrilling adrenaline rush! This is a historic track and make it easy to get up close to the horses in an almost park like setting. Don't miss this if you are in Kentucky when it is open!

The natural beauty at Keeneland, the closeness of the paddock, the fun of being around horse lovers is a wonderful experience everyone should experience. This is a month before the Derby.
