We loved this state park! We live only an hour south of here and wanted to show the Falls to our 2 young children. This park was amazing, very clean, gorgeous views and spacious sites. We will be back!

This is really a great park for camping. The sites are very large with lots of space in between campers. One "loop" was closed as it was late in the season. The only slight issue is that each loop only has one bathroom, which can be quite a walk at 2 a.m.! But the bathhouse was very clean and recently remodeled. Showers were very nice. No complaints. There is a camp store but it was not opened during the week... only on weekends but again, that is because we were there late in the season. Make sure to walk around... there is a nice gravel area right beside the lake... and the views from spacious green areas are just wonderful. It really is a very nice State Park! The office staff at check-in was very nice and helpful... even helping with some "tourist" info we needed. This park is close to Old Ft. Niagara, Niagara Jetboat Rides and other attractions like that. About a mile down the road is a nice pub/tavern called Ray's! They have awesome food at great prices in case you don't feel like cooking under the stars. We'd go there again!

Nice park, big sites, clean restrooms and showers, well-stocked store. Also a small beach on the lake that was great for watching the lovely sunsets.

Not much going on tin the park, but it is convenient for camping when hitting the wine trail and Niagara Falls. The camp store was only open from 11:00am to 6:00pm which meant it never was open while we were in the park. Office wasn't much help in telling us were we could get coffee in the morning, but luckily we found Bandana"s not too far away.

Stayed here while visiting the falls. large spots and most of them have shade. I actually went to google maps street view and was able to see a view of most of the camping spots to help us pick out of the ones left with shade. Electrical hookups and non electric sites. Clean restrooms. Large playground for the kids. On saturday & Sunday morning there is a free activity for the kids. There is a small beach that has rocks and pebbles and we found sea glass!

My husband, my sister and brother in law took their grankids 5, 6 and 7 for their first big camping trip and since we also wanted to visit Niagra falls we picked this campground. It was a great camping experience for everyone. All the adults are experienced campers so we can adapt anywhere but wanted a more developed area since it was the kids first time. Pick your site carefully! !! A lot of them are in the open with no privacy, we were at 171 and 169. 171 was very private 169 not so much. Site 165, 167, 173, 177 , 137, 139, 141 and 143 were all shaded and private. The bathrooms were clean, the trash area was never full, they had recycle cans and the campground was generally clean. We felt safe but the staff was not intrusive and the campers in general observed the quiet hours. This campground is only about 20 minutes to goat island and the falls area but it feels worlds away from that vey busy area. Highly recommend this area for experienced or first timers.

My husband, son and I spent 3 nights camping at this park. The view of lake Ontario was unbeatable. The park had some of the cleanest bathrooms we have seen in a campground. It was easy to find and there is lots to do all within a half hour of the campground. With easy on/off access to the highways you can't beat this location. Most of the lots have plenty of shade and are very large. I was glad to find out that you get free admission into any state park during your stay there which is a savings of around ten dollars a day. The park staff were all friendly and helpful and the camp store had all the basics you'd expect to find plus fresh baked cookies. I would recommend however buying your campfire wood from one of the many local people selling just out side of the park. It is $5.50 a bundle at the camp store while most were selling it for 3 bundles for $10. I should also mention there are nice washers and dryers at all the bathhouses and two nice play ground areas. For the price this campground is a great stay.

This was the prettiest campground we have ever stayed in. We had a huge tent campsite right on Lake Ontario. The bathrooms are modern and clean with nice, free showers. Our campground pass allowed us to park free at Niagara Falls SP and all the other pretty state parks in the area. A reasonable camping fee made a trip to Niagara Falls extremely affordable and this campground made it very pleasant too.

Stayed July 31 to August 1-- super nice playground ( for real), nice views of Lake Ontario, clean and adequate bathrooms/showers, no beach but great area to skip flat rocks; would stay here again

We spent four nights here in July 2014 while we saw the sights around Niagara Falls. As one other reviewer said, it's a good place to sleep while you do that. The signs say "New York State Campsite" not NY state park. There is no reason to go there for day use. Some sites are right on Lake Ontario but are quite windy in storms I was told by locals. We had an electric site on a dead-end loop and could see the lake when we walked to the bathroom. Some sites are shady, but many are not. The water spigots and bathrooms are a hike from some of the sites, so plan carefully. The only access to Lake Ontario is near the lone picnic shelter where there were occasional morning nature programs led by employees who fussed at one another and told stories about the Pacific Northwest (?). There are no hiking trails. The mouth of Four Mile Creek can be accessed by the shelter or via the service road on the west edge of the park. There were some boys fishing who said they had caught bass and northern pike. There's a short strip of pebbly beach you can walk on, but can't swim there. The sunsets are great, and you can see the Toronto skyline when it's clear. The bathrooms were clean, the grass was mowed and the fire rings cleared of ashes. The campstore was open and well stocked. There were playgrounds and we rode bicycles around the campground. Explore on Lake Road for local produce and firewood. One of the best perks was that your windshield hangtag camping pass gets you free parking at the NY state park lots near Niagara falls/Goat Island. They saves at least $10 daily. We walked back to everything else, including crossing the Rainbow Bridge.I would stay there again if all I needed was a place to sleep while touring the area.
