Having done the walking/gallery tour I had high expectations for this gallery. While it has interesting pieces the set up isn't very inviting or pleasing to the eye. A bit to jumbled. Is it trying to be a gallery or wanting to be a tourist shop, hard to say.

Authentic and knowledge are the key words for Toh-Atin. This is the real deal not mass produced rugs or jewelry. They have been in the area for decades and know the difference between a Zuni needlepoint bracelet, a Hopi weaving or well know pottery. Even if you are not buying they are friendly and highly educated about the area and their merchandise.

I liked the owner and his staff to include his Mom who was also working. The shop has a lot to offer and also carries jewelry. Good quality products that seem to be authentic. The owner has been in this business for over 20 years and specializes in rugs. He is from Durango and takes in consignments as well. I would come back to this shop and I purchased an item.

This beautiful store has authentic Native American rugs, jewelry, pottery, or weavings; you name it, they have it. Items will beautifully decorate your home or business. Owner and staff can answer your questions, which educates you if you aren't familiar with the talent of Native Americans.

Toh Atin is the best Native American gallery in the US. There is an amazing assortment of rugs, jewelry, kachinas, pottery, paintings, sculpture and saddles. The staff is friendly and knows their artists and culture intimately. When you buy at Toh Atin, you know that you are getting authentic merchandise at fair market prices. Toh Atin actively supports a variety of artists, including a young silversmith who is rediscovering old ways and lost stone sources.

If you love Indian arts don't miss this shop. Great collection of contemporary arts and older contemporary collectables. My wife and I never come to Durango without stopping. Knowledgable staff. Gallery pricing but fair, especially for an upscale gallery. What a great selection of pottery they had on this visit.
