Excellent place to obtain information for your Park visit. They have a vast knowledge of the things you need. Hiking trails for youth and adults. All kinds of gift items and directions all over park.

Great place to stop and get info to plan your time and activities in the park. I have watched the (free) movie every time I go - and we have been visiting for many years. The rangers are friendly and knowledgeable.

Its a great place to start a hike from and has tons of information about the area. Unlike the visitor centers along the skyline drive though it didn't have a gift shop which was a shame. It is also the last place before the drive from here to Cherokee for a comfort break.

We enjoyed the short hike to the waterfall and to the old cabin. We also learned quite a bit about animals and vegetation in the park thru the displays in the visitors center.

The Sugarlands visitor center is a greats stop on the way into the park from the Gatlinburg side that everyone needs to experience. The museum there, the friendly staff, store and facilities available to everyone are second to none. Whether you want park information, a nice gentle hike with a small waterfall, a moment of rest or to purchase something special, Sugarlands Visitor center has it all.

This is the perfect spot to get all your information and a great spot to become acclimated to the area. The staff are warm and friendly and the Center has lots of brochures, maps and information about the National Park and surrounding area. The Rangers are really knowledgable and helpful. There is a very nice gift shop with a little something for everyone, restrooms are clean and well maintained and they have a display area that is both interesting and educational. This is a great place to stop for updated information... I might also add that if you are traveling during late Fall and Winter it is necessary as they have the road closings and suggested alternative routes.....

In my opinion, this is THE visitor center for the Great Smoky Mountain National Park! If you need any park related information, this is the place to go. They have a gift shop inside as well as a nice little "museum" in the back. Don't forget to stop by here before going into the park!

We love Sugarlands Visitor Center. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the educational displays are great. We signed up to be members of the GSMA this trip and are proud to be supporting the park we both love!
