We all love running up the big sand hill. It is hard to climb, and gives the kids something to do for an hour or more sometimes. Its also good to run up if you're looking to exercise!

I hadn't put this park high on our "to do" list when we visited Boise. We spontaneously went to check it out one early evening (in Feb) as the sun was setting. Bummer for my 5 year old son who wanted lots of time at the playground (it was dark by the time we walked back down off the "camel's back" hill) but WOAH, lucky us. What a phenomenal place to watch the sun set!We didn't slide down the dirt slide this time, maybe if we go back to Boise we'll plan for it. This was just a really unexpected, cool spot to hang out. As I said, we did get down the hill when it was dark, so we only let my son run around the playground for a few minutes. It was nice that they didn't have "park closes at dusk" signs all over the place and no one chased us off. Very peaceful, very pleasant. And did I mention the view??

You will want to see if you have what it takes to climb the first hill and then run down the second hill. The park is popuar and includes a play ground, sand pit for volley ball, and open space to toss a frisby or football. The park is small with limited number of areas to eat, so bring a pic nic blanket. Also, if you like tennis there is a small tennis court.

This is a great way to get away from the downtown area, without really having to get away. It's a nice walk from the North end through old and well-kept neighborhoods. This park offers lots of walking trails and fantastic views of the valley.

Easy access to parking and to the foothill walking paths. Great place to bring young children to play and walk.

This park has something for everyone. Playground, open space, tennis courts, the big hill to climb and access to hiking trails. It is also up the street from Hyde Park where you can find all kinds of good things. Great Place!

Easy to get to, open spaces and a hike everyone could handle. The park is in great shape, and close to all the shops on N 13th.

What a view from the camels back. Our two boys, 2 and 3 had no problem hiking to the top. Ample parking, nice playground. Well kept.

They have a playground for kids, very clean toilettes, tables for picnic and a nice hill for hiking. Lots of trees, close to downtown.

Excellent, convenient place for hiking. Great location for easy trail access. Variety of trails available for distance and level of difficulty. Walker, runner, biker friendly.
