A step back in time with an abundance of history, ways of life and how this area was founded. I was thrilled that you can practically spent most of day and be highly intertained.

Ok, this exhibit reminds me of the Wooly Mammouth exhibit at the Nevill Museum in Green Bay Wisconsin. Seaman is the name of the Newfoundland dog that accompanied the Lewis and Clark party. The dog will bark when you press this button and the mammouth roared when you walked past. Nicely done exhibits. Its a small museum, but a lot of care went into it. Worth it.

It is not too often that one can combine a fun experience for adults and kids with a history lesson. With life-like talking mannequins, one can learn about the Lewis & Clark Expedition and its importance to the USA west of the Mississippi. Seaman, the Newfoundland dog, even barks at you as you walk by him. Plan on a couple of hours for the self-guided tour. Also, the grounds are nice to stroll around in; plus there are very nice walking trials that continue up into South Dakota along the Missouri and Little Sioux Rivers.

This is a wonderful interpretive center. Something for the whole family. Free to visit. Very interesting account of Lewis & Clarks journey through this area. Has several animatronics. Also visit the Sgt. Floyd riverboat that is next door. Tells a lot about the history of old riverboats on the Missouri.

This is a great stop in Sioux City. Informative and done very well. Good for all ages. Nice hands on stuff for the kids. Enjoy and then go to Museum and Art Center 5 minutes away.

Free, Fun, Educational and Interesting for the Whole Family! Follow Lewis and Clark on their journey through this region. Listen to them tell their story in their own words. Stamp your passport logbook on each leg of the journey. Stop at this facility and you will not be disappointed.

neat best describes it- excellent story - the center is very nice . the folks that work here are very nice, and knowledgable- we loved the state.

On drive from St. Joseph, MO to Sioux Falls, SD, we decided to stop here on our way. Surprisingly good display. Not large but glad we decided to stop. Excellent displays and story on only explorer to die from the Corps of Discovery while on long Lewis & Clark venture. Learned about Seaman, Lewis' dog on trip, and York, Clark's slave who fascinated the native Americans and contributed notably to the trip.

I brought a group of students to the center for a field trip. The students enjoyed learning some area history as well as having lots of hands on activities. The center's staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to our groups needs. Thanks again for a great day!

My family and i were so pleased with touring this center can not wait to return again! Wonderful displays&informative. You get a real education from experiencing this . I highly recommend taking the time to stop&see this center. We bought a couple of unique tee shirts too. Great photo taking! Inside&out. Love the statue of Lewis and Clark& Seamen doggie.
