Very well done and informative, for adults as well as children, several hands-on exhibits. Lots of trails in the area.

There are some nice displays of the local prairie inside but don't miss outside. There are some nice (small) garden areas, water features and recently added: a play area featuring some really cool stuff like a giant spider web. There are some nice hiking trails in the area too. Not well advertised and not the best viewing but the is also a herd of REAL bison just north of here at Broken Kettle Grassland.

This nature center is worth a trip. The area itself offers a pretty drive and if you stop here, you might also consider taking a drive through the nearby Stone State Park. Once at the nature center, there are quite a few activities for the family including informative displays and walking trails. Every now and then, the center offers special activities such as night walks. I've been here on several occasions and have always experienced incredibly nice staff members who genuinely seem to enjoy what they do.

This nature center had quite a few hands on displays. All were very informative. You can also hike along several trails.

Great place to take the kids and kill an afternoon. Great displays and very knowledgable staff on hand. The nature walk is great as well. My kids have attended the camps here over the summer and loved it. Well recommended!

We recently visited Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center with our adult daughter & almost 3 year old granddaughter who were both here visiting from other cities. We found the nice play area with the xylophone & the climbing set & the giant spider web to bounce & play on quite by accident when we took a walk on one of the trails & crossed a bridge. It was a great place for imaginations as well as running & playing together. We had not heard about this part of the nature center prior to this visit, and we had take. Our granddaughter here on other occasions when she has been visiting us. We always enjoy our times here. Make a note: they do not open until 1pm on Sundays. (We tried to go there with all of our family when they were here visiting a few weeks ago.)

It had fabulous children'a activities and camps. The Nature center and grounds are well maintained and are a great place to enjoy the outdoors. The hands-on gallery for the children is fabulous/
