We do 75% of our produce and meat shopping at the SPFM, through the summer. Bob Otis has the best meats in my opinion, but there are nearly a dozen meat vendors some even specializing in elk and buffalo. Produce follows the seasons, from asparagus, ramps and rhubarb in the spring and anything you can imagine throughout the summer and early fall. Coffee and made to order breakfast sandwiches will fuel you up as you listen to the live folk music or a local solo violinist.

The St. Paul Farmer's Market is a feast for the senses! I encourage anyone who hasn't experienced the Market to be sure to put it on your must-do list! The produce is locally grown, it's as fresh as picking it out of your own backyard. Produce, plants, honey...it's all beautifully displayed. The vegetables are so clean! Apples are shiny and so good. The growers take pride in what they do. For those looking for breakfast, there's hot coffee, donuts, breakfast bagels and more. If you have an event, a wedding, a dinner party or just want a lush bouquet of flowers to grace your table- check out the flower vendors! They put together the most beautiful bridal bouquets and arrangements.

This past Saturday was our first time taking the Green Line Light Rail to the Farmer's Market. The St Paul Farmer's Market is just the right size, not too big or too small. The vegetables are fresh and really inexpensive. We used to grow lots of stuff but find that it is about the same price to just buy our produce and flowers at the StPFM. There are also some nice breakfast places right on the outer edge of the market. Music, good coffee and yummy treats are there the last 2 Saturdays. We brought our 7 month old son who really enjoyed ride and seeing all the people.Great Saturday morning family event!

I visited on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 6:45 am. (They open at 6:00 am). Parking is about one block to the south; either in the ramp of the Union Depot for $3.00 or a surface lot for $1.00.Their policy is that everything offered for sale must be grown within a 75 mile radius of the market. They do not allow purchasing elsewhere and reselling here. So the customer knows that the products are very fresh and local. So, many vendors and offerings. From vegetables to flowers to cheeses to organic meats. I was in the mood for fresh vegetables. I purchased sweet corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, garlic, red potatoes and basil. I thought the prices were very reasonable for fresh, locally grown produce.I drove 30 minutes to get here but it was worth it.

OK I haven't visited all of them in the Twin Cities but this really was a great farmers market. We had tried the one by the Mill City Museum in Minneapolis the day before and the one in St Paul was much larger, the quality was just as good and the prices lower. The sheer size mean a greater variety too. Being a Brit' some of the produce was new to me but the people at the stalls were happy to explain what they were.We travelled there using the Green Line light rail from Minneapolis. The market is just a couple of minutes walk from the end of the line.

We met the friendliness people at the Farmers Market! And the sweet corn was excellent! It's a great way to spend a morning and enjoy some healthy treats!

The Saint Paul Farmer's Market features foods grown or made in Minnesota. The seasonal produce is fresh and delicious. The selection of items also includes locally raised meat and eggs, as well as honey and baked goods. The atmosphere is fun for all ages, with kids, seniors, and everyone in between enjoying fresh treats. Usually there is free live music. I recommend stopping by the St. Agnes bakery booth for their incredible homemade bread. The Farmer's Market is open year-round, but has a larger selection in the summer.

I try to get to the market quite often, it is just such a fun time.. They have it all.. Flowers, food, coffee, and just about anything else you can think of. And as the summer goes on they have wonderful vegetables...

Probably the thing I miss most during the cold winter months is my weekly trips to this farmer's market in the summer. I know it's open year round, but it us not the same to me. I love the vendors we've come to depend on year after year as well as the fresh coffee and rolls you can buy to start the day while strolling down the aisles. Flowers are a must! The live music is also a very homey addition to the market.

Growing in popularity over the years, it can be nicely crowded on a Saturday morning. All food must be locally grown so there are no pineapples or other shipped in items. There is a nice balance of plants, flowers, fresh produce and food items such as egg rolls, bread, salsa, etc. Love this market!
