This was so much fun! I have taken two classes, one with a friend and one with my son. Melanie and Lori are awesome instructors. My favorite part? The fun music? The talented patient instructors? Yes! You leave the gallery with a beautiful piece of art that YOU painted! My son loved it as well. The studio is fabulous and be sure to see the attached gallery. Both spaces are filled with amazing pieces. You will be pleasantly surprised at the variety of work in the gallery. This is a must do! I can hardly wait to choose the next class!!!

I went with my 8, 10, and 12 year old kids. The instructor was wonderful, patient and provided great music for a really fun painting party, as she called it. If you've never done this, the instructor helps you mix the colors and then you paint "reference lines" for the major shapes in the painting. Then you fill in and voila, a beautiful painting. Everyone finished at their own pace and there was more than enough time for even my 8 year old to finish. Lori, the instructor, encouraged the children and was very attentive, repeating instructions when we fell behind. We were 7 people in total and the other group was a couple with a teenage daughter. We brought a bottle of wine and there was hot chocolate for the kids. I highly recommend this for families - my boys even loved it! We would do it again.

Finally stopped to have a look and was glad I did. Classes were being held, but we were able to walk around and take a look. Cute gallery.

Attended a sip & paint class yesterday afternoon. Great fun. Melanie is an accomplished artist (be sure to stroll through the gallery and see hers and other art on display and for sale), who can teach too. Looking forward to attending another class.

I have done 2 sip and paints and I am hooked! Melanie is a great instructor. I am surprised when my paintings come out much better then I thought they would. Im looking forward to do this with my daughter next time. I highly recommend this place!

I took a private lesson with Melanie Levitt...amazing! Great instruction and explanation of technique. She took time to be sure I understood light, value and composition. Melanie brought me from early sketchs to a final oil painting... I am so excited with my painting. Amazing experience....I will be back to take more classes. The studio has so much to offer! AND...I had fun!

My husband and I took a sip & paint class at Jackson Art when we were visiting the White Mountains and we thought we would try something we haven't tried before. My painting actually came out much better than I expected and I can't wait to try it again! I have never painted before but Melanie went step by step and explained everything while she painted along with us. My husband and I enjoyed some wine and great company. The studio is beautiful and it was fun seeing all the artwork from local talented artists. We want to go back and might buy a painting from one of the gallery artists who has their work on display. This was definitely the highlight of our trip!

I have visited the Jackson Art Studio & Gallery every year since it opened. First off are the inspiring, airy studio's fabulous art classes (suitable versions for adults vs. children) in different painting styles. Second are the learning opportunities in other mediums, such as printing, by multi-talented owner and lead instructor, Melanie Levitt (who is also very personable). Last but not least, the diverse works in the adjoining gallery by Melanie and by other accomplished artists in the White Mountains (in various price ranges) insure memorable, unique gifts for myself, family and friends.

Went to a birthday party for a friend at Studio (its called sip & paint). What a unique idea for a get together with friends (were 59+ holding), and get to paint a picture you can take home. I'm never been artistic but my husband after seeing my skier picture...called me Susie-Q Picasso! Melanie was the instructor and she was so talented and gave us great directions and one-on-one attention..the paints were all laid out with brushes and she even provided smocks. I would highly recommend this to anyone ages 2-100 for any occasion. Susan Smith

I took my mom here for her birthday! Was a fun girls night out, we brought our bottle of wine and the three of us enjoyed a night of painting and lots of laughs! Melanie was wonderful! We were happy with our finished product!
