We had an amazing 3 hours ride! Even tho we didn't have any experience as riders, we felt safe the whole time. Thanks to Phyllis for showing us the beautiful nature on the horseback.

Such an interesting attraction. The owner, Phyllis, is very knowledgable not only about the horses, but the history of the land. Beautiful views of the canyon and wonderful horses make this a worthwhile attraction for anyone. I loved it!

I can't recommend this highly enough. I went to the ranch as a beginner who had never even sat on a horse, and left having had a wonderful adventure across a Texan ranch on an American quarter horse. Phyllis and Kendra were great with the group, making everyone feel comfortable and telling stories on the ride. The horses themselves were so well behaved and obviously very used to having novices at the reins. If you do one thing in Amarillo, make it this!

My then girlfriend (now fiancé!) and I were travelling Route 66 West and hit Amarillo. She said "How can we go to Texas and not ride-out on a ranch?". Los Credos Ranch run by Phyllis Payne and her husband was the closest open for business some 14 miles from the Interstate. What a day we had. Fantastic scenery, safe horse riding instruction (American style - which is much more comfortable than English style!), passionate knowledge of Indian history and beautiful well looked after working horses. The beautiful vistas of Paulo Duro canyon are breath-taking as are the intelligent horses. The hospitality is also first class and friendly. If you have 4 hours to spare whilst on your 66 trip I definitely recommend this.
