Attended the Wine and Cheese University at Dry Comal Creek Vineyards. What a wonderful time. Had a great time pairing wine and cheeses. Would highly recommend this experience for anyone. We had a great time and it appeared the individuals around us did too. Would have never though of pairing some of these wine and cheeses together. The instructors were very informative and made for a very enjoyable experience.

My wife and I drove out of our way to visit this location from the north side of Canyon Lake while staying at a friend's house on Dec. 30th; we arrived, and the tasting bar was full, so we moved to the gift shop in the back. There were several picnic tables set up in this area (apparently some were reserved for a group tasting later). No one acknowledged us as we explored this area for five minutes, nor as we moved to the tasting area. There was one person behind the bar attending to the tasting needs of six people, and no where for us to stand. After about 15 minutes of waiting in this front area (we drove over a half-hour, and because it was a Tuesday, no other wineries were open that day that we were aware of), the server finally asked us if we would like to do a tasting. We responded enthusiastically, but she then proceeded to ignore us for another ten minutes, so we left. This was an extremely disappointing experience. I understand being busy, but to ignore patrons for twenty minutes, and then to ignore them again after they have expressed an interest in being served, is pretty poor service. What was also disappointing is that there were several interesting items in the gift shop that I would have considering purchasing, but given the level of service we experienced, I refused to spend any of my money here. We most certainly will not return to this location.

Walked in and the wine tasting bar was full. Perused the small gift shop while waiting for a spot and were never greeted by the hostess serving. After about 20 minutes, the hostess finally asked if we wanted to sample some wine. We waited another ten while she attended to her other customers and finally got fed up, and left. As a former bartender, I understand being busy. What I can't forgive is lack of acknowledgement and complete disregard for patrons in your establishment. We drove out of our way to visit the winery and left without tasting a thing. My husband and I love wine and were very disappointed. We will not go back.

The jalapeno shot is an absolute must! The vineyard is beautiful and the facilities are exquisite. We tried the full spectrum, including the sangria, which was fantastic. The sangria is also available to take home, along with unfinished wine bottles.

I really wanted to buy wine after a lovely tour and visit at this pretty little place and I did buy one bottle. But, honestly, the wine isn't great. There was a small wedding going on and I imagine this would be a sweet place for an event. Friendly staff.

Truly a lovely wine tasting experience. We visited for the first time this weekend - charming little vineyard. I was pleasantly delighted with my experience. They have some great ideas for spicy food parings. Mandy was very helpful. We will be back.

This is a review of the vineyard's annual grape stomping competition. The vineyard is a little gem set in the Texas countryside just outside of San Antonio. Tickets were $70.00 a person and include an engraved wine glass, event t-shirt, two glasses of wine and a simple lunch. If you have ever wanted to stomp grapes this is your chance. Participants stomp grapes (2 man team) for 10 minutes and the teams that get the most juice win the competition. Great fun. They had a really good band playing. A great way to "pass a good time". The grape stomping occurs in early August each year. Go to the vineyard's web site to get details and dates.

We visited the week of their grape stomp. Lots of people were there to stomp on grapes. We did a tasting and had a very knowledgeable person explain their wines. Average 1/2 ounce pours as expected. There are grapes grown on-site and the vineyard is beautiful. It's a hidden gem and we will return.

Small, private vineyard. Beautiful grounds. Fun and knowledgeable wine tasting. Delicious wines! My favorite: White & Black Spanish VI. My husbands: Black Spanish Reserve. And the Demi-Sweet was Yummy!

This place is darling, and has great charm. My boyfriend and I ventured here on a Sunday, and had a lovely time. The gentlemen assisting with the wine tasting were very accommodating and helpful.
