Its a small amusement park, but the staff was very friendly, all ride attendants were happy to be there, greeted you every time. Short lines for rides, wouldn't mind visiting again. we had fun!

Located in MacKenzie Park, this amusement park would be a great half day's entertainment but not much more. It appears they are adding rides and additional items which might help add some excitement. It is very compact which makes it easier to keep tract of the kids.

Took Grandkids and they had a Blast. Wanted to stay longer, but after four hours we had enough. Lots of rides.

You can have fun here. There aren't a whole lot of rides and most are geared toward younger children, but it's not expensive and never seems to be too crowded. If you have younger children I think they would enjoy it.

My wife and I stopped by Joyland on an 18-day tour of American and Canadian amusement parks and were pleased we did. We met up with the founder and owner of the park, David Dean, who was a genuinely great guy and who was fascinated to see two coaster enthusiasts from the UK visiting his park.Joyland has a mixture of roller coasters (mainly targeted at family audiences), thrill rides (such as the Dare Devil Drop ride), carnival rides (e.g. rock-o-planes) and water rides. With economic times being challenging it was good to see a small family-run park like Joyland still providing thrills for local families after more than 40 years of operation. Sure, it's not a massive park, but everyone there appeared to be enjoying what Joyland had to offer, and I wish the Dean family well for the next 40 years.

Wish the prices were a little less considering what was available and the upkeep of the park. Kids had fun, but I would rather have taken them to the water park where we could do more things with the adults and small kids.

Joyland has become a yearly stop for the family and I. We always have a great time. It's small but that has it's advantages. It's easy to walk the entire thing and ride what you want and no long lines. Don't expect six flags but it's a good time.

This was deffinetly the strangest amusment park I have ever been to! It was a fairly normal "for kids" park, no rides big enough for me. But my kids loved it, the strange thing was all the Aumish people there. Not that I have anything against any religion or way of life, but it felt pretty culty. But my son had a lot of fun getting to know the young Aumish girls, which is fine with me!

My wife and I always take our grandkids here during the summer for a fun time. They enjoy the rides as well as the refreshments that are available. Joyland has been in Lubbock for as long as I can remember. Good clean enjoyable fun!

This was our first visit and we have 2 teenagers. We paid for the $20.00 wrist bands for them, while my husband and I paid $5 for general admission since we didn't plan on riding. The rides were typical carnival rides, but the kids loved them (and much cheaper than going to a carnival or fair.) They have some thrill rides, several classics, several for very young children, and 3 great water rides in which you WILL get wet. They have a few video games and skill games, and some snack bars and Dippin' Dots. The staff was nice, and the price was fine - I especially appreciate the option to pay less since we weren't going on the rides. We ended up buying a few single tickets to ride the log ride and sky tram, which were $2 a piece. Our kids had a lot of fun, and we will return.....possibly with our church's youth group. We went Memorial Day weekend and there were no lines. It looked a little run down, but safety wasn't an issue. There is a new ride being added currently. Our big kids rode what they wanted in about 2 hours, which was perfect for us. There are lots of benches and picnic tables around to sit on and get shade under the canopies.
