This was an interesting place to go see. I didn't find the prices to be that great of a deal. However if you like the western decor in your home this is the place to go. The furniture is beautiful and well made, I got several smaller unique items as souvenirs. They will also ship anywhere if you buy bigger items. Its a bit more like a flea market than a store, they just have alot of the same items in stock.

In all honesty, the prices are a bit high, the staff a little too uninterested in actually helping you find anything in their store, and they do NOT have adult boots (so be forewarned). The blankets are fairly reasonably priced, but everything else seems a bit excessive. The jewelry was a good deal but it was a huge mark-down from their Dia Los Muertos stuff. It's fun to walk around and look at everything but as far as prices go, unless you are planning a trip across the international line to shop, just stick to where you know the language. They have an online website as well to order and be prepared to have their catalog pushed on you.

I was looking forward to visiting this place upon my return to El Paso. This is where I always get my Mexican blankets and many other items.I noticed last week when I was there that just about everything I picked up was MADE IN INDIA. Hello?I'm a few miles from Mexico and the Mexican Blankets are Made In INDIA!?!So disappointed!

My husband LOVESSSS these damn places, so I went only out of support and love. Turned out to be a fun look around- I even bought 2 "sugar skulls" necklaces! We also bought got 2 blankets ($12 each) for our pups while traveling. FYI- pets are always welcomed there!!!!!! :) I enjoyed looking at all the crazy furniture pieces (the building out back) and pottery. It wasn't a waste of time because this was our "zero day" here.

El Paso Saddleblanket is a bit of a mixed bag. The warehouse store is large and they do have an awful lot of stuff, even using a satellite warehouse (which actually has some better stuff). Much of it looks like cheap imports from Mexico, although very little of it would I categorize as "unique." Also, given that much is imported so cheaply, it seems like the prices are pretty high. Similar items can be purchased in Juarez (assuming you feel safe going) for vastly less. Most importantly though, the employees seem oddly unhappy and sometimes rude to the customers. Checking out is difficult at best. If this were a regular retailer, that would be a problem, but they are attempting to make this an attraction, or El Paso landmark, and that certainly isn't the experience they are providing. In short, if you need an actual saddle blanket, go for it. Otherwise, you can probably skip it.

We were there to buy some drums from church, were testing them as we were going to take them back to church to get some for the congregation. We were told first that we coudn't test them, than the cashier told us that we could test them that no one had the right to tell us that we could not. Than to my right "low and behold", there was the owner, tall man with long white hair. I ask him if he was the owner and he said he was. I told him that I needed to test the small drums because the sound was very important to use for worship in our church. To which he responded with an attitude "… I heard all about it…" I ask what did you hear, he added "…you are not supposed to play them this is not a church…", I told him I know I knew it was not a church and than he interrupted and I coudn't not believe what he said next ; "…I will have the last word.".We walked out of the store and sat down to discuss if we should just return the drums as we felt uncomfortable to take them to church as we felt he was a very discriminatory .We than went back and spoke with the owner calmly, we don't want your drums we want our credit back. Than what was a very stressful situation only got worse, he told us "…Just get out of the store, I will not refund anything…just leave". I write this to all who may read, this man may have become very rich but apperantly has no sophistication nor compassion for others. He forgets that he got rich because of the public that bought from him. I did call and reported this owner and his buisness Saddle Blanket in El Paso, Texas to American Express Card Services; I am confident that they will follow up on this horrible experiance as I don't wish it on anyone. I am so Glad that My Lord will forgive him for forgetting that he needs to be more understanding and not a evil man as he needs to be greatful for the riches he has aquired; May the Lord turn his heart around. But as for me and my church we will do no buisness with him.

I stopped by on a whim. I bought lots of stuff. I'll bet you don't get out the door without finding something you must have. It's well worth the visit. The people are especially friendly.

The store is the equivalent of taking a Sunday stroll for entertainment. Acres of hats, purses, shoes, jewelry, furniture, and of course your traditional Mexican tourist gifts. The company also has a regular dog adoption held outside, which I greatly admire the owners for promoting. This is the place we always take our out-of-town guests to! Enjoy!

If you are looking for Southwest decor look no further. This place has it all and they claim they are selling to general public at whole sale prices. Not an expert on that.... We spent about 50 mins but could have stayed much longer. They have soooooo much to look at --from handsome saddles and horse related items to baskets, rugs, decorations, jewelry, hats and on and on......If I had a southwest store I would make a point of stopping again.....Many of their items are Native American Lookalikes at prices lower than buying the real deal.....most made in Mexico and Pakistan. Pottery was mostly colorful Mexican. It was fun for a stop and to the purchase of a few small things.....

I don't enjoy shopping but had a fun time looking around in this store. The place is huge and don't forget to go to the building in the back. We bought a few native American items (probably made in china) but they were cute and will look nice in our Arizona house. I would go back again and might order a few things online. It was a good way to spend a couple of hours!
