The National Park Service has done an outstanding job with the Cicil War Interpretative Center in Corinth, MS. If you have any interest in this battle, start with a visit to this Center. It has several films and slide shows that provide a context for the battles in the vicinity of Corinth - Shiloh, the Siege of Corinth and the Battle of Corinth. There is a lovely small museum and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. You'll need a hour or so here. Then you can decide where to drive and what to see on a nice driving tour of Corinth. The Battle of Corinth is one of the few in the Civil War that included in-town, house-to-house fighting.

My family and love history. Going to Corinth was an extension to our civil war history trips. It was very nice. The movie about the events rhat happened there was very well done and informative. I recommend this to anyone that loves to learn more about the Civil War.

The thought that was put into the creation of this center is simply overwheiming. Plan to spend at least two hours. From the moment you step out of your car you are met with the horror and the impact of this terrible war. The walkway leading to the center is"littered" with bronze replicas of what the soldiers left behind in battle--guns, knives, hats, buttons, letters home....it's all there. Inside, the center focuses on the battles of Shiloh and Corinth. There are three movies and numerous interactive displays to help you understand the important role Corinth played in the war. Ask the guide to explain the significance of the design of the outside waterfall. It certainly speaks to problems 150 years ago as well as to issues we still face today. This is a very impressive place!

We had an excellent visit to the Civil War Interpretive Center. It is well done. The movies and displays takes you through the battles and effects of the war on the soldiers and the people of Corinth. We walked out of the center very emotional. The water sculpture at the center was also impressive. As we were getting into our car on leaving, a train was passing with its horn blasting which was eerie because the battle was fought for the railroads going through Corinth

We toured all the sites in that part of the country looking for information on a specific Union Infantry Company from Wisconsin. Here, at this outstanding library are kept records of each unit and descriptions of the battles in which they fought. We were allowed to sit in the enclosed glass library and read the passages that pertained to our ancestor, which the very helpful Ranger found for us. Outstanding museum and personnel. Dorothy H

This National Park Service site is a treasure. The entry is peppered with bronze bed rolls and a stunning relief of soldiers marching. The building contains artifacts and well presented film presentations placing the site in the broader context of the Civil War. What really set this site apart for us was the water feature court yard where the war and iconic documents are represented in symbolic stone boxes and engraved monoliths with reflecting water. There is then a break in the wall with a gate that allows you to gaze up the hill to an incredible tree with a line of headstones along the ridge. Very haunting but lovely. It would be an excellent side trip after a visit to Shilo National Park.

This is a small center but very information and well done. Very beautiful. Interesting art piece from the moment you leave your car that sets the tone for the rest of your tour inside the building. Bronze pieces embedded in and along the sidewalk as you approach the building are very well done. Be sure to check out the movie.

A very educational and informative center. Brings the civil war history of the crossroads to all who visit. Reproduction gear and actual period uniform on display. Interactive exhibits and wonderful film explaining events of the era. A great portion of history revealed and excellent bronze sculptures, fortification explained. Great stop to make before you visit Shiloh National Military Park.

We were in the area to visit the Shiloh Battlefield and really didn't know anything about Corinth. We wound up in the town because we found a good B&B (The Generals' Quarters) and then learned more about Corinth. The Interpretive Center is excellent - very good film, well organized exhibits and helpful staff. Corinth played an important role and it was good to lean more.
