In the summer it is impressive the variety of Southeast Asian vegetables sold by locals. There is plenty of parking at the lots neighboring the market.

We stopped by the City Market on a Saturday in early November. Many of the vendors were not out due to it being off season, however there was still lots of stands open in addition to the weekly flea market/garage sale. The market itself was very nice, with permanent booths/vendors. It had all the basics in addition to a lot of rare stuff that you can't find at the local grocery, such as a spice vendor!! There were also some very unique things like extremely large pumpkins (4ft tall...), salsas and so on. We didn't stop in any of the food places but all looked and smelled really good. If you are looking for something to do one morning before heading out for the day I suggest stopping by this market. Its suppose to be one of the biggest in the mid-west!

We happened on the market when they were having a flea market, so we got to view numerous local curiosities as well as produce. The produce was very nice and prices were excellent. We ate a Brazilian restaurant which was very good. Great place to visit and enjoy the Kansas City atmosphere.

We frequent the city market every time we are in town. the produce is extremely reasonable and the spices for sale there (2 different booths) are pennies on the dollar as compared to the grocery store prices. there are several other things to do here and but the spices and produce are what makes this thing the heat.... Lots of indian grocery as well as some more international things. Pretty cool floral section too.

My friend lives a block from the Market, so we walked there while I was in town. We got a coffee from the coffee shop and started walking around. I go to Farmer's Markets just about any city I visit, and this had the best selection and variety I've ever seen. Produce, spices, honey, etc. were very affordable, and it's great to support local farmers. If I lived in KC, this is where ALL my fresh food would come from.

Any time we are in or near KC we will make a point to coming here. Just about anything you may want is here. We get spices aat awesome prices. Fresh produce, fresh flowers and the Italian store in the corner is simply incredible. Not your typical farmers market. Better and then throw in a flea market both open 7 days a week. Awesomeness!!!

A terrific array of vendors in the Farmers' Market provide a wide range of fresh fruits, vegetables, and some baked goods. The booths are well laid out and one doesn't feel pushed even though there are a large number of people there. The street musicians lend a nice touch of atmosphere. There are a number of restaurants there that provide very good lunches at reasonable prices. The small permanent shops have a wide range of products for sale. It's a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.
