My husband and I went to the Fox Theatre with another couple last night. If you like musicals, concerts, or theatre of any kind, you must see something at the Fox at least once. From it's elegant and beatiful interior, superior sound system, and classy patrons, it's an experience you will want to do over and over. We only had to park about a block and a half away and paid $12. Once we got to the entrance, we were quickly able to find our seats with the help ushers. They do offer a range of snacks and beverages including beer and wine. People do dress up some but it isn't mandatory. We saw people wearing a variety of outfits. Between acts, my friend and I had to use the ladies room. They had the process of getting hoards of women in, out and back to their seat in a relatively small amount of time and they did it with an effeciency a CEO would be proud of.

A regentrified area with nightlife and restauarants abutting campus of St. Louis University surrounds this once great and now great again restored theatre, with ornate architectural features abounding once inside. Feels like a real night out to the theater when walk into velvet roped high ceiling lobby with venues for buying cocktails and binoculars. Upper levels of balcony are 5 floors up, and quite a distance from stage, hard to tell who is speaking on stage unless the staging and acting otherwise clarifies. Sound system makes everything audible however. Saw Phantom of the Opera and it was very well done if not quite as good as when we saw it on Broadway (also had better seats then). Crowd control fair to good at intermission and after show. Parking was tight. Next time might come and eat at steak place across the street first then leisurely stroll across street for show.

You will never in your life see a place like this. Yes, the decoration may be a bit over the top, but you won't take your eyes off all the art work. And The Fox continually attracts top-notch acts, attracting the sweet spot of "true artists" vs. the "stadium artist". (I love them both by the way). I've seen Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Santana, and countless great theater productions.

I attended a private event here, rather than a show. I had a wonderful time exploring the theatre and all of its history. The onsite catering was delicious. I must see a show here the next time I come back. Definitely recommend a stop here and a backstage tour if you have time!

Beautiful venue. We have seen many amazing shows here! Great sound and lights. Good seating no matter where you are. Parking is a bit of a pain so beware. We had a issue with one of our tickets (that we bought through a group) and they fixed it right up for us! Live this place!

The theater alone is a must see. This theater was meticulously renovated in the 1980s to its original 1929 grandeur that puts most Broadway theaters to shame. Not only was this considered a movie "palace," but it held more than $700,000 worth of Fox's wife's furnishings (most of which is still there)! There are behind the scenes tours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 10:30am. The Saturday one is $10/adult and includes an organ presentation. The Tuesday/Thursday is $8/adult without the organ. I'd suggest seeing the organ, since it was one of only 5 ever built and has more than 2700 pipes! If you choose to come to one of the Fabulous Fox's shows (and you should if you can!), know that unlike St. Louis's Peabody Opera House, there is such a thing as a bad seat in the house. Choose seats at the uppermost range of your budget. I will say however, that even the bad seats really aren't that bad and the sound is always fantastic. I am just spoiled, because I go as often as I can!Advice - parking on the street is metered, but the meters end at 7pm and most shows start at 8pm. If you are late to a show, they will not let you go to your seat until the cast changes scenes (even if you just ran to the bathroom), so get there early! You'll be enthralled by this theater, so you won't be bored!

Beautiful old theatre that is a must see if you visit St. Louis. Lots of history here. Furnishings inside are incredible and takes you back to a different era.

I've been to 4 broadway musicals in the Fabulous Fox. The building is magnificent with amazing details. Each time I go I see something I had not noticed before.

My wife and I attended a concert and to say The Fox Theater is Beautiful is a Understatement!! The sound was spectacular and we were given a behind the curtain look after the show was over. The staff was extraordinary and we look forward to future visits!!

The Fox Theatre is a must see while in St Louis. Call or visit the box office to reserve a space for the daytime tours. You will get to go behind the scenes and see the wonder and splendor of this beautiful movie palace turned into the St Louis showplace for Broadway Musicals, International Dance Companies, and stars of every entertainment sector.
