Great location, beautiful quaint building with an amazing view of the river. The wine was simple yet a nice bold merlot perfect for any occassion.

It was such a great place for a intimate wedding. Four Friends Winery went out of there way to help make the occasion perfect. The scenery was beautiful. The variety of wine was great. I recommend Four Friends Winery for every occasion.

My friends and I were doing a PA Wine Trail tour. Four Friends was along the way. We had heard that it was a nice place. So we made it part of our itinerary. Waste of time. The wine was not that great. But what was the worst was the blonde, curly haired woman that was tending to us. She was miserable. She looked like we were bothering her even though we had to pay to taste her wine. She never once smiled at our group of 14. But she had absolutely no problem walking down to the other end of the bar and having a conversation with two other girls and glaring at us with those girls. We were not at all out of control. We paid money to taste their wine and buy there cheese that pretty much all tasted the same and was treated like we shouldn't have been there. I will definitely NOT recommend stopping at this winery. We all made sure that we told all the other wineries we went to how we were treated also. None of them treated us like we were bothering them. Might I add that this is during March Madness when all the wineries are busy and you are on the list of wineries you can purchase tickets for.

I was surprised when I didn’t see Four Friends on Trip Advisor so I just had them added. They are cool little winery right off of Route 15 on Penny Hill in Montgomery. When we don’t feel like driving 3 hours to the Finger Lakes wineries this place is a nice alternative.Their tasting area is a long bar with bar stools so you can sit down and relax during the tasting. The bar also has an excellent view of the Susquehanna River out a large picture window in front. They charge a minimal tasting fee – I forget the amount but it isn’t much.They have 3 or 4 wines which we like a lot so we usually buy a bottle and drink it right there at the bar. They don’t mind if you do that at all.Outside they have a wrap around deck with outdoor seating and incredible views where it is nice to drink a bottle when the weather is nice. They also sell a cheese board (4 different cheeses) with French bread which goes very good with the wine.They hold a pig roast with bands in the summer which is fun – check their calendar.Overall this is a descent winery which makes for a good afternoon visit on the weekends.
