Took Grandkids on Polar Bear Express. Combine fascination with trains, love of Polar Express story, family time and Santa. You get the idea. Could not have thought up a better experience.

What an awesome experience. We took our 2 1/2 year old who is train crazy on this adventure. He was so excited to be riding a train with a real conductor. We all enjoyed the stories and history presented by the friendly conductor. This was a perfect length of trip and the sights were beautiful. We plan to return again later in the fall as the leaves are changing.

Every once in awhile, my husband and I go down to Middletown and take a train ride! It's relaxing, we get out and it's a nice slow ride along the the river! Worth the money!!

This ride is about an hour along a river, so was very pleasant, scenic and relaxing.Hubby loved getting to tour the RR yard and see all the work being done in the shops.

I have been on the train several times. It is an older train, but; that adds to the historic nature of the ride. The ride is very scenic and relaxing, and, the kids just think it's plain cool to be on a train. They do themed rides at Christmas, Halloween and such. Don't expect a lot of bells and whistles or high class service. This is a historic older diesel train that you will ride, and, the station is old as well. I think it adds to the charm and nostalgia of the entire experience. Most of the ride goes through the woods and past the creek where there is alot of American Indian history. The narrator gives you alot of historic facts alog the ride. All in all, it is a fun and leisurely experience for old and young alike.

We have ridden many trains on the northeast. This train is one of the least expensive, but you get what you pay for (train is older, and station yard is a bit rundown). With that being said, we had a wonderful time! I have a 6yr old boy and 3 yr old girl and they both enjoyed it. It is a nice ride (and one of the longer train rides) and although the train is older, and not as fixed up cosmetically, you have the option for snacks which we liked and is very comfortable. The other thing is it has a restroom, which a lot of the other trains do not. Everyone at the station was extremely nice. If your looking for a new train to enjoy, I think this is a great choice.

Everyone was very nice. The information was great. Learned a lot about the area. We would do it again.

The M & H railroad regular train ride is just that. Nothing spectacular. They give you a little history of the R & R and the surrounding area. The staff was nice and the ride was reasonably priced. The grandkids enjoyed the ride, especially our grandson, he loves train rides no matter what.

Took the polar bear express train. It is not worth it. Cannot see anything. The park's lights were better than their "north pole". Very disappointed. The old train was neat and nostalgic but the ride was very slow

Very, very, very disappointed in the "Customer Service." In spite of a dangerous snowstorm that turned us back and US Weather Service reports calling for several inches of snow, widespread dangerous travel due to snow covered roads, and reduced visibility below one quarter of a mile" they won't even hear of a refund or raincheck. Classic example of greed! It is not like we just bailed for the heck of it. Wish I had read the reviews here and elsewhere before I bought tickets for a family of 5. Thank you so much. We will not be returning. Enjoy your money. I will enjoy the safety of my family.
