Recently went to The Market at Liberty Place with a group of friends. (The Market is a great place to go!!!). Most of us had been there before and would typically get food from any of the places in there and pair it with a glass of wine. We started at Paradocx, ordered glasses of wine, and assumed the server misunderstood and thought we wanted to do a tasting based on the "sample" of wine poured. It was a ridiculously small amount for $8 or $9. Better you eat something and then head down to Kennett Inn for a real glass of wine.

My wife and I have tasted and purchased Paradocx wine over the past 10 years or so going back to their original farmhouse location and events. Maybe they are getting too big to think about what they are doing long-term to erode customer satisfaction and their reputation.This post is about the Paradocx tasting room at The Market at Liberty Place. We were charged $9.00 a glass(?) for the Cabernet Franc. Each was about a 4oz. pour. With tax we were charged just over $19. That breaks down to about $1.58 a sip. We gladly pay this price for a good glass of quality wine. Not 4 oz. of a product that Wine Spectator would rate a 70.Guess we are no longer customers. The doctors need to hire real business people or they won't last.

Great wine flights. Great wines! Great atmosphere. We lived it!! We picked up cheese across the way. They even supplied a cheese board. We purchased crackers here. Check it out !

Paradocx moved their tasting room/bar to "The Liberty at Market Place" in downtown Kennett Square. The winery is in Landenberg, PA. Paradocx makes a great variety of local wines and is one of my favorite local wineries. Their new tasting bar is a great place to taste their wines or hang out in the evening and get food and dessert (Punk'd Pineapple) from nearby vendors all in the same building.

This has now moved into The Market at Liberty Place which is a GREAT place to spend an afternoon. I highly recommend going here to grab some wine and chocolates if you want a relaxing day or a neat experience. The Market at Liberty Place often has live music and Paradocx offers many different tastings.

My sweetie and I were driving around with no real destination in mind and happened upon a sign for the winery and ventured to it. It was a pleasant find; tucked away from the main driving areas. The staff was knowledgeable, outgoing, and very friendly. We were encouraged to sit and stay for a while after we'd sampled and purchased some of their wines. The Barn Red, which came in a can resembling a paint can was my favourite and I'm looking forward to returning to enjoy the peaceful place and wines with a picnic basket. I look forward to their opening of Mugshots Coffee House & Wine Bar near the Art Museum in Philly since I frequent the Musuems where they'll be located.

Had many wonderful evenings at the Paradocx Wine shop as well as their actual Vineyard Venue listening to Dan Orlando, Dave Renz and the sounds of Acouctic Groove Project. So nice to sit outside and listen to soothing music sipping a refreshing glass of vino. Not sure if they do this anymore but it was wonderful in the summer of 2011

Make sure you bring cash. They charged my credit card twice for the same purchase and when I brought it to their attention, they did absolutely nothing - not even an apology was given. The tasting room manager made a sad attempt to forward my email to their marketing director... After that instance, no attempts to help me were made. Had to go to the bank to file a claim against them. Can't believe we'd driven two hours just to visit that winery and to be treated this way afterwards is just lousy.

Good variety of wines, reasonable prices and also a good selection of local cheeses and chocolates from Neufchatel. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to stop by if you're in the area.
