Been meaning to write a few words about Lester's. Eating a pretty healthy pescatarian diet for six years or so, I decided to get my burger on last July 4th. Seeing the back roads billboards, a quick web search and phone call informed that while technically closed that day, they would have a kid stick around to fill my order.Well marked by a row of American flags, locating the drive was no problem. Purchased burgers and salami - all were great! Next visit was an excuse for a Saturday ride on my Royal Star Venture. The sloping gravel driveway was a bit daunting, but a flat slab at the top provided safe harbor. This time, I met Lester - a true American icon. More burgers and salami...Another lovely (near fall) day, and an outing on the bike with a lovely companion. We also encountered Lester, purchased more burgers and salami, and ascended the knoll to watch the herd ambling home across the field from a well-placed park bench. Quite idyllic! This time, the driveway was a bit more manicured, and was traversed without issue. Expect to run up with the 4WD during the winter....
