Wonderful museum/heritage center. Very informative, great history and wonderful staff. (Was it Simon? Sorry I didn't write down his name but he was great!). There were certain sites that we tried to find on our own, such as the Petrogylphs at Shipwreck Beach. Turns out I was RIGHT there but didn't go up far enough after much searching. Had I gone here first I would've found what I was looking for.Overall, a MUST for your visit to Lana'iPS: They are nonprofit, so please leave a donation :)

When the island was a Dole Pineapple plantation, and before, this is how life was. Get a T-shirt to help support this small museum.Carved boats, and authentic artifacts, also lots and lots of photos of the life of the plantation workers, too.

There aren't a whole lot of places to go on Lanai. When we got to Lanai City, one of the shops recommended we stop in here. It was nice and a good place to learn the history of the island of Lanai.

This culture & heritage center is amazing. It is full of amazing information and exhibits from one end to the other. The docents are all local people, who are more than happy to share information about their island with you. It is run by a nonprofit organization, so be sure to make a donation when you stop in!

The Lanai Culture and Heritage Center is in a small building and has pictures, artifacts, etc. of the history of Lanai. There is a person who will answer questions. This is a good stop to get a better picture of the history of Lanai.
