My family has attended MTW productions over the past 20 years, and the quality of their 5 summer productions are truly comparable with the best you can find anywhere. I have a fair amount of vocal music experience, and have attended shows on Broadway as well as musicals by traveling cast. MTW productions are consistently produced with comparable quality. MTW has been selected multiple times by Disney as one of only a few music theaters to produce new works such as The Little Mermaid. My parents actually come from Kansas City to attend one or two shows each season, because they enjoy the MTW shows so much. Wayne Bryant, the director and the heart of MTW, gives a great presentation before each show to provide background and interesting historical notes about the origins of each show. Also, each year MTW presents one show that involves a lot of youth or children from the community, as part of MTW's contribution to developing new talent. This past summer, I went to 3 of the 5 shows -- West Side Story, 42nd Street, and Catch Me If You Can. If you enjoy musical theatre productions, I highly recommend MTW shows -- you will be impressed with the consistent quality and enjoyment of their shows. Not to be missed!

MTW is phenomenal music theatre. Each summer I look forward to the selection of shows. There is always something for everyone, from oldies to premieres, from more mature tastes to kid friendly. Watching these young performers put together Broadway caliber shows in such short time frames is nothing short of amazing. If you have never been, it is a must experience for those in and around Wichita.

You won't see a better show anywhere, maybe more famous but no better! Wayne Bryan gets the best out of local talent, and gets popular artists to come to Wichita. The sound and lighting are extraordinaire! The lighting on the show for Bali Hi was phenomenal! The sets really take you there. Not something for young kids unless it's a kid themed show, like Little Orphane Annie. Great place for enjoying the night! Never been to one show I didnt love.

There is a saying in NYC, "the shortest path to Broadway is through Wichita". Last year, every Broadway play had at least one actor/actress that came from Music Theater of Wichita. Wayne Bryan recruits and trains the best talent in America.

Wichita M.T. is equal to London and New York for quality of Music Theater. Six shows per summer and priced at 60% of NY.

Attended Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and was thoroughly impressed - first class production. Everything about the production was wonderful - acting, singing, sets, atmosphere - all wrapped up for our enjoyment. The only thing I could fault was available parking, but that is the city of Wichita - too many venues booked in too small of an area and parking is at a premium.

The productions are always first-class and the acoustics great. Not really a bad seat in the place. A great activity for the family, a couple -- or even singles.

I have been attending these shows for six years, both with my husband and with my children. Each and every time, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of the productions. I enjoy the opportunity to introduce my children to classics like Fiddler on the Roof and also view newer shows such as Catch Me if You Can. One tip is that if you arrive an hour before curtain, they sell remaining tickets at half price.
