We thought we were lost when we were driving there. You drive through an old neighborhood past a cemetery and run down houses then all of a sudden you see a gravel parking lot. We got there right before 3pm because their website said they have wine tastings every hour on the hour. They do a large group tasting in the pavilion where they have tables set up. There are six round tables with between 4 and 8 people at each table. The didn't actually start the wine tasting till 3:15 so we were getting impatient waiting for it to begin. There was a lady at the front that spoke about each wine as the younger girl went around pouring the samples. It did take the one girl a little while to get around to everyone with the samples. Sometimes the older lady would already be talking about the next wine before you could sample the previous one. It seems like they need at least two girls pouring the wine to keep up a good pace and get everyone served while they are still talking about the wine you are sampling. This vineyard was more family friendly then others we have been to. There were kids playing in the field and some people even had their dogs with them. All of the muscadine wines were very sweet, many of them tasted so similar it was hard to tell them apart. The wine was a good price, mostly between $10 and $20 per bottle. They did have one reserve bottle that was $39. They also had wine slushes that were nice, they had non alcoholic ones for the kids. They mentioned they had events and live music available on Saturday nights. We purchased a groupon deal for our tasting and bottle of wine so it was a really good deal. This was a different experience then we have had at previous vineyards, more laidback and allow kids and dogs to come. They only had one restroom and it was occupied the few times we walked past to use it, would be nice if they had more restrooms available.

Unlike most vineyards in NC, this one is in the middle of town and easy to get to. This is surprising when you see it. So much open space! Like most NC vineyards, the primary grape is Muscadine, so the wines from onsite grapes tend to be pretty sweet. They do import grapes for other varietals. But what makes this place is the entertainment. Each Saturday there is live music outdoors on the very nice grounds or in the semienclosed pavilion, with food trucks. Kid friendly. Tours available. But wait, there's more! The vineyard is named Treehouse because there are TREEHOUSES! These are not your kid's treehouses, but really guesthouses in trees and are available for rental. Not quite as slick as those on Treehouse Masters but still impressive. Very cool.

This winery is hidden behind a slightly run down neighborhood but once you find it and get on the grounds it is fairly serene and scenic. The facility itself is just a plain building however out the back is a nice country landscape. The wines are what we liked the most about our trip to this winery. We like all kinds of wines but do prefer wines on the sweeter side and this place has some flavorful sweet wines. For those who prefer dry wines this may not be an ideal choice but I wouldn't skip it if you enjoy trying new wineries and are in the Monroe area. We drove down from Charlotte one day when we had some time to kill and it was a trip well worth the drive.

We enjoy going to the vineyard because it's close to home and we do enjoy the wine they offer. The surrounding neighborhood around the vineyard does leave you wondering if you are heading to the vineyard, but you are and don't turn around.Take time to enjoy some great wine.

This a a small sweet, family-run, country winery. The treehouse is really cool. Just a fun place. The big treehouse for overnight stays is very romantic. Turn the cell phone off and enjoy. If you like sweet wines, you'll like the Treehouse. I prefer dryer wines which is why I gave it a three. A great day trip for a wine tasting.

We ended up here one Saturday afternoon (after driving thru a sketchy neighborhood) and theparking areas were packed. We had to wait for about 30 minutes until the next "seating" for ourtasting. I've been to a lot of wineries but had not been to one that has such a large group tasting at one time. They seated you on the covered patio and wines were brought to you and poured at the tables. There were probably 50 - 60 people tasting when we were there. You do kind of lose the personal touch with a crowd that large, but it was adequate. Since it was a very hot daythey had the slushie machines cranked up and everybody was lined up for glasses of those. We skipped the tour of the winery. Unlike some reviewers, I didn't see portajohns, but they hadrestroom facilities inside. My friend later called about renting one of the treehouses to find thatthey are booked up for several months in advance. Treehouse is not the fanciest winery, the wines are pretty good (and they do have more than sweet muscadine) so it is worth the effort to get here.

Treehouse is a wonderful place for young and old families singles how they have a great wine tasting room and gift shop there's a large area outside to sit 10 enjoy friends and family and sip wine and occasionally they have music that you can enjoy by the starlight I highly recommend this area.

This winery is on the outskirts of Monroe NC. The wine is made with muscadine grapes grown there. Muscadine is a rather sweet grape BUT they seem to get some less sweet wines made also. One that comes to mind is Tack Shack. They have activities every week, and there are treehouses to rent which is fun. We live in a neighboring town so go over from time to time and really like the welcome atmosphere the "crew" supports.

Now, I live about ten minutes away from Treehouse. When I saw that area of town had a vineyard, I thought it was ridiculous. To get there, you do go through a (for lack of a better phrase) "poorer" section of town. This will lead someone to believe that having a winery there is ridiculous, and that it just has to be yucky. No, no, no. Yes, I drove through that part of town to get to Treehouse, which was JAMPACKED with cars...it was Saturday night so they had live music. I had rented out one of the Treehouses for my husband's birthday ($25 an hour), so we were able to taste some wines, make a purchase, then bring the wine up to the treehouse along with a picnic basket we had prepared to meet some friends to celebrate the birthday. It's unusual and quaint. I loathe muscadine wine, so I tried some of the other wines and they were pretty good.I can't speak to the tour..didn't do it...my visit was composed of wine tasting and treehouse. It's not a super elegant place like other vineyards (such as Raffaldini), but it's relaxed and fun. Perfect for a GNO.I notice there are a lot of groupons for this place. I will probably go again. My husband loved his birthday party at the Treehouse!

Papa's Dream at the Treehouse Vineyards is simply way cool. We visited in late October and were warmly greeted by the staff upon check-in. The treehouse is located at the backside of the winery giving it more privacy than one might expect. During the day you can see a couple of folks waking around the winery property but there is a pasture and pond that nicely separates the treehouse from the other activities of the winery. On evenings when the winery has music you can hear the sounds drift across the vineyard at a level just nice enough to be able to chat while still enjoying the sounds. The deck is large enough to sit and relax in one of the four chairs around the table or sit in the hammock swing. You are literally surrounded by the tree while sitting on the deck. Very nice. Besides the passing plane now and again, most of what you here is nature, distant trains, and just a wee bit of distant road noise. The interior of the treehouse is small but, as we Southerners would say, cute as a button. Although it would be a challenge to cook a full meal inside, the addition of the outside grill makes it all possible (although we chose to eat only breakfast in then local eats the rest of the visit). This place isn't big at all so if you are thinking you will have lots of room inside, you won't. Just enough room to snuggle up on the loveseat. The bed upstairs is a queen and relatively comfortable. I would highly recommend an afternoon nap! One note of caution. The stairs leading to the loft are tricky so take care going up and down. Overall an extremely nice experience.
