Not what I expected. Much better experience with NASCAR Experience a year earlier, also at Charlotte Motor Speedway. If you want to do the Jarrett thing, realize that you will have an "instructor driver" in the car communicating with you by hand signals and bumping the steering wheel, no voice contact. The NASCAR Experience has you alone in the car with outside radio contact. Part of your Jarrett's "instructor's" job is to get you the highest speed possible and if necessary he will take the steering wheel from you to do just that. Bottom line is it is not your drive. Further, if a high speed ride is your goal, buy a ride. It's faster and a lot cheaper!Don't expect any positive reinforcement from your "instructor". His job is done when the drive is over. (To their credit, Jarrett Adventure does have the best safety record in the industry).Next lesson learned: don't buy more than an 8 lap drive. There is no change in the car's performance with longer drives as there may be in other driving experiences.Finally, and of great importance, make sure you have hearing protection. It was not provided nor even offered for my 28 lap drive. I had ringing in the ears and could not hear normal conversations for about a week. This was blatant negligence on someone's part.Caveat: Talladega may be a better experience than Charlotte due to the way it's laid out. Haven't tried it, so can't say.I am not accustomed to writing negative reviews and offered to not do such if I could be assured my concerns were addressed. Never heard from them again.The one positive aspect was the friendliness and cooperation of fellow drivers and of members of the staff.

If you love NASCAR this is a bucket list event of a lifetime! My husband bought us 8 laps at Charlotte Motor Speedway. I would never have thought to do this but the memory of my experience will last forever! It was apparent from the onset that the team on the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure is a dedicated, qualified fun staff. Each and every staff member was incredibily polite, professional and truly seemed to be having fun. They offered the best possible experience!!! The instructional class is super easy and informative. In no time you are suited up and on the track! HOLY COW!!!! You get to drive with other cars on the track and pass them if you so choose. My instructor was so cool. They offer videos of your adventure and you must have the pictures to document your day. I would recommend Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure to anyone who wants to experience the thrill of NASCAR I can't wait to go back. Thanks Y'ALL!!!

I received an 8 lap drive as a gift from my wife and it was unbelievable. The wind in my hair at 160 mph in a REAL racecar was something you just have to experience. The people were kind and helpful. But it all starts when you get in the car. Feeling the power of a real NASCAR racecar is something that everyone has to do at least once! I'm going back next year.to do more laps. 8 were definitely not enough. If you want to knock someone's socks off, this is the gift to get. My heart is still racing!

This is ABSOLUTELY the MOST realistic NASCAR driving experience available in the market today. A GREAT gift for the NASCAR fan!!!

I've experienced this racing adventure twice at Charlotte Motor Speedway and its awesome! Very professional, very safe, and a lot of thrill and adventure. They teach you what you need to know and then put you behind the wheel. When you're out on the track you enjoy the freedom of only your hands on the wheel with the comfort of knowing there is a qualified instructor sitting next to you. I've also been to other racing adventures and this one is bar far the best. They use real cars, you get to go fast, you can pass other cars, and its all done in a safe environment. Before you try RIchard Petty or Nascar experience, I'd try this one. I've done them all and the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure is bar far the best.
