If you can imagine a place where a guy in a leather jacket chewing a toothpick flipping a coin would hang out. Its kindof like that. The go carts are 5.00 a ride. The staff was just about as thrilled to be there as we were :I

The water was very cold in most areas. And as mentioned in other reviews, one of the first things that happened was our daughter fell while entering the wave pool do to a slippery surface. The lines moved pretty fast with exception of the go carts. Go carts, mini golf, and bumper boats are all included in the entrance fee. I was surprised at how many people were drinking there. We had been to a "real" waterpark while on vacation so this one seemed really tiny and not much attractions compared to where we had been, so the kids got bored pretty quickly. It is the best thing that Sioux Falls has of this nature. One thing I saw as I exited, was the girl checking through bags at the entrance found someone with a bag of Twizzlers in their possession and confiscated it. She quickly brought it into the office where the staff devoured it and they did a happy dance that they had gotten something for free.

We have gone a few times this summer and my children enjoy it. I like the lazy river and my children like the water slides and wave pool. I do wish they allowed people to bring in "healthy" food as the food being sold is not healthy. The healthiest things on the menu are frozen grapes and a chicken salad. Bags are checked at the entrance, so sneaking in healthy foods is not even an option. Believe me, they will catch you trying to bring carrots and stuff in! Some people (like me) do not eat breads, pizza, ice cream and junk food. Please add some more healthy options.

I live out of state and was very excited to take my family to this waterpark but it turned out to be not all what I imaged. So my husband and I were on the lazy river with our children and I stopped at the swim up bar to buy 1 beer at the price of $7.00, I kept my card open so that my husband could swim in as you had to be over 21 to enter (which is just fine) and I rode around the river with the kids while he bought 1 beer at the price of $7.00. When he cashed out our tab he stated they didn't give him a receipt. We figured it was due to not want paper receipt in the river and thought nothing of it because we actually have faith in what seemed to be a nice family run establishment. When I got home and checked my account my card was charged double of what it should of been. After calling a couple times I finally got a response and they stated there was nothing they could do about it without a receipt. I was given no options or given a name of any other manager even though they were in the fault as I was not given a receipt. I am blown away by how they treated this situation. Other complaints are the infant/toddler pool was super slippery. My 2 year old slipped atleast 4 times (was not running at the time) and they have a smoking section very close to the small children's pirate slides and activity gym. Not healthy for your young child's lungs.

My family has been to many water parks, so really this was just like the rest of them. Certainly not bad, just run of the mill. We were there on a very cold day in July, so it wasn't busy. the lazy river was frigid so we didn't stay there long. The wave pool was warm so that was the busiest place. the slides are fun. Stood in line for 40 minutes for a 5 minute Go Kart ride. If your kids love water parks, this one will keep them entertained for a short time anyway.

My husband and I have been here 2x this summer. Once on a hot day and once on a mild day. Both days we had a lot of fun because of the different activities. The batting cages were bad. Go carts were lots of fun. We are both 30 and had a blast great date night

We have bought season passed for 3 years in a row and this year we are getting bored. The white slides have been the same for probably 20 years. The lazy river isn't big enough. The wave pool is extremely slippery. They really need some sort of thrill ride or this will be our last year buying season passes.

I agree with the person about the refund policy. If someone is from out of town pays then has to leave because of the weather, they should get a refund, not a rain-check. Also, the person there to pick up her kid...a lot of people drop their kids off there. They shouldn't charge her to pick up her kid. I would have done the same thing, frankly. They could have paged the child or something. Other than that, $25 per person is a little steep. I bought our tickets months ago online for 1/2 price so it wasn't bad. I didn't drink alcohol so I don't know about the booze prices. Food wasn't priced too bad. A burger, fries, and a soda was $7. Kid's meals were about $5. They DO allow you to leave and come back. If that price will ruin your day then pack a lunch, go out to your car to eat, and come back in. I saw a bunch of people doing it. The biggest things I didn't like were the bottoms of the pools were slick. They need to have a better non-skid surface. I almost fell holding my toddler more than once. Also the smoking area is right in the middle of the park. How did I notice? I could smell the stench as I walked by. It's also right next to the lazy river. A lot of parks like this don't allow smoking at all. Also, after noon, it got really crowded. There were long lines for the slides and go-karts. Don't even think about trying to find a deck chair. You do get a lot for your money. All pools, go-karts, batting cages...are included.

We decided to go check this place out as we wanted to go swimming. When we got there the sky was dark but we didn't see any lightning etc. We bought our tickets and headed inside just to find out that they had blown the whistles 5 minutes earlier for everyone to get out of the pools for weather related reasons for 30 minutes. I 100% understand the reasoning behind it but the part that made me angry was the lady at the ticket counter sold us wrist bands knowing the pool etc was shut down for weather and she hadn't told us about it. They wouldn't refund our money but promised us if they didn't reopen we'd get a "rain check" for another day. Well we don't live there so what good would that have done? Always ask if they're open and remember their refund policy. Especially if it looks like it may rain.

My child went to Wild Water West with a friend and they have a policy to charge you to enter, even to find a child. When I refused and entered to retrieve my child, they called the cops and said I was "disorderly" with them. This is a gross exaggeration of the truth of the situation. I entered, said "I am getting my kid" found my kid, left and was out of the gates in under 1 minute. I then left the parking lot after stopping twice to wait for families to cross. Then I am called by a sherif for disordering conduct on their property? How about kidnapping or something for them holding my minor child and not releasing him to his parents. They handled themselves and the situation extremely poorly. For an expensive location and horrible prices on food and drinks, they try to even gouge you for simply trying to pick up your child who's spent all day there. We will never again attend WWW.
