The Rd2CA Quilt show is held the next to last week-end in January every year at the Ontario Convention Center. I have been attending the show every January for the past 7 years and it has only gotten better with each passing year. It is a big show; attending one day was not enough time for me and my friends, so we bumped our stay up to two days. When taking a class, we need three days. We spend one day looking and photographing all the quilts and another whole day just visiting vendor booths and purchasing product we just have to have. This show, commonly referred to as the Road show, is the best regional quilt show in the area. I actually enjoy this type of show more than attending some of the international shows for two reasons. Many of the quilts at the international shows may not be photographed, which immediately diminishes my enjoyment of viewing them! Secondly, because of stricter juried rules, the shows often do not display some of the less than perfect fabulous local and folk artsy pieces found at smaller shows. I've already made my reservations for the "Road" show for next year. Maybe I'll see you there!

Easy access, newer venue. Well lit, good natural lighting, and very nice in and out. As others have said, not a lot of choices for food. There is a Marie Calendar's, In-N-Out, Denny's, Wendy's, Jack In The Box and Quiznos within a 1/2 mile if you have the time and know where to go. All in all one of the better places for a convention center.

This was our first year at this new venue for us. I could not have been more pleased. The facility, and the staff were perfect.... !

Awesome quilting convention, love the building premises and atrium area. But previous reviewer is right! Need more food choices, and more chairs inside with the vendors. How about allowing food carts outside?

Why can't they have more chairs! This show is attended by mostly 50+ people. Needed chairs around the walls inside the exhibit area and outside in the main floor halls. And needed more in-center food options since there is nothing close by.

Another great quilt show. The vendors were fantastic and the quilts spectacular. The exhibit of the CA State Parks was my favorite. Shiela Frampton-Coopers exhibit was very interesting and brought a lot of attention to her form of quilt art.

If I was attending an event at this Convention Center I would only have to walk across the street and I'd be there.

Snookey
Snotty personnel whenever we had contact with them. Little common sense employed, especially by the parking attendants for the over priced no in and out "privileges". If I had to attend an event there, I would; but if I had my choice of choosing a venue, this would be near the bottom of my list.

What can I say? The convention center does what a convention center is supposed to do...be a nice place to hold a convention! Easy access to the road, lots of parking, pretty building. A+
