We went for a travel show. The organizers did a poor job of getting folks into the facility. Once in, it was easy to get around. Numerous restrooms. Lots of exits. Free covered parking. Can be a traffic mess if Levi's Stadium has an event on the same day. the area can get very congested.

Essentially you have all you need to carry on a big programming conference. Several big rooms available to run multiple track in parallel and have more than 2000 people in a very comfortable place.

Very famous in the area with lot of space, getting local talent for the events, eye of execs, mass marketing chance

The Santa Clara Convention Center is well-designed, spacious, and allows a variety of activities to take place simultaneously without intrusion. The parking is free! I enjoyed every moment there.

Right next to the Levi's stadiumReally poor designed for breakfast and snacks (no where to set your things down!)For our event, the space was magnificently transformed. The buildings look like they were built in the 80's and could use a refresh. Especially juxtaposed against the brand new Levi's stadium.

Very clean, easy to locate, easy access from freeway, close to many mid-higher end hotels and restaurants that are within walking distance.

It looks a bit dated and the decor of brown and beige is a bit depressing - but they know how to run conferences here. There is plenty of room for delegates, lots of smallish rooms, huge ball rooms and an effective and efficient service to feed several hundred people. It's easy to get to, San Jose international airport is close by, i's attached to the public transport system with easy access to San Jose and San Francisco.

The Pacific International Quilt Show was my most recent reason for visiting this site. It's on the same street as the new Levi's Stadium and a Hyatt Hotel. The convention center has a good entrance drop-off area with a circular driveway that is big enough to accommodate buses and large trucks. There's lots of parking across the street when there is nothing taking place at Levi's. And while it is only 2/10th of a mile walk outside to the Hyatt, I was told there is a tunnel connecting the 2. The convention center space is large - as you would expect. The exhibit space is hard surfaced which means you must wear comfortable shoes if you have issues with your feet. There is a carpeted upstairs with meeting rooms and an open space lounge area. There are broad, shallow stairs going up to the 2nd floor and there is an elevator too. There are also relaxation spaces along the 1st floor exterior walls stemming from the entrance as well as tables & chairs outside when the weather is good. Otherwise there are only a few benches by the entrance if you are waiting for your ride. The restrooms are plentiful and extremely clean. The food service is ok. It does vary with the event - but the food is prepped on site and consisted of sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, fruits, cold/hot drinks when I was there last week. In the morning you can visit the Peet's Coffee station and also buy morning pastries there. Once noon time approaches, this concession closes but you can buy coffee from the other food stands. The food is ok, and as you would expect it is a bit over priced. When I go, I usually bring my own bottled water, lunch and/or snacks. The lounge area off the main entrance has some easy chairs. They need to be replaced as they have been well used. And, it seemed to me there were fewer of these chairs from my last visit about a year ago. This site is pretty much what you would expect for such a place built in the mid-1960s and periodically updated. It functions well and you should not have any surprises if you go there. It is ADA friendly.

Small but efficient. I like the free parking. Location is good for work only not much food nearby except for hotel restaurants. At least 5 mile drive for offsite restaurants. Close to California great America.

Was there for a Scrapbook Expo. The first day there were several other groups using the facility, then after that, our group of scrapbookers had the exclusive use of the facility. There is free parking in the garage that is attached to the facility that also serves the Hyatt Hotel and a Tech center. The Convention Center overlooks Levi Stadium but the view into the venue only allows for a look-see at the nosebleed section of seating and not down into the stadium. It is also near, with a block or two of Great America. There are also several other name branded hotels in the vicinity - Hilton, Mariott as well as the Hyatt being on the same premises as the Convention Center. They serve Peet's Coffee at their kiosks along with fresh salads and sandwiches if your group provides for this service. There are no restaurants on the premises. There is both an elevator and an escalator on the premises that serves the two floors of the facility. The one drawback to the facility is the size of the facility. From the parking facility to the venue doors has a long ramp, then there is a long hallway that brings you into the 2nd floor area. There is an elevator and escalator to go to the first floor as mentioned above. I my case the scrapbook expo was downstairs and around the corner which meant a long walk. If you are into exercise, this is fine, but if you have limited mobility, it can take a while. There are a few handicapped parking spaces at the front of the building but getting to the front via auto I didn't explore how to get there. The restrooms were clean and the cleaning staff is very efficient. As there were several groups, or one very large group besides ours, they had performed a miracle in cleanup. We we arrived the next morning, every poster, sign, evidence of this group was gone. The only problem the facility has is being able to control the heat and cold so I suggest you bring a warm jacket so that even if it hot outside, you can remove it, but when it gets cold in the building or room you are in, the jacket shaves off the cold from attacking your hands and feet until they raise the temperature!
