Terrific small museum but very interesting even to those not into cars. Worth the time to go out of your way to see.

I surprised myself by how much I enjoyed this museum. It is top quality!! We were lucky enough to get a guided tour. Check out the "race track" built right in to the floor that encircles the entire museum (upstairs and down). Attention to detail is amazing - even in to the restrooms :~)

Yes, there are automotive museums with larger collections. Yes, there are automotive museums where you can on a whim just drop in. Yes, there are automotive museums where the entrance fee is even smaller that at the Mullin. However, there is no finer automotive museum in the country, particularly if you love magnificent French automobiles. The Mullin wants you to have a great experience, and thus limits attendance to advance ticket purchases. However, for the very best experience, the "private" tours on Tuesdays are the way to go. Even better is for you to arrange for a group of your best-friend car guys and gals to take the Tuesday private tour where you'll have the museum all to yourselves -- at this writing you could take up to 20 people for the modest price, given the quality of what you'll see, of $500. For even hard-core museum junkies, this will provide the best automotive museum experience of your lives, guaranteed!

Even if you do't care about cars this is a must see. If you do care about cars, this will make you swoon. Even if you're a guy.

The Mullin Automotive Museum is tucked away in an industrial park in Oxnard. The collection of mostly French autos from the 1930's and 1940's is spectacular! Even for someone who does not know the technical terms for engines etc., the cars are works of art. The museum is open two Saturdays a month, and well worth a visit.
