nothing amazing, but meets all basic needs. the walk to the seats is a short hike uphill...beware if you are wearing heels!

Went to Linkin Park Concert here. It's actually called Concord Pavilion and it's pretty cool. Outdoor Amphitheater type venue with a beautiful backdrop of Mount Diablo. The weather was great and the concert even better! Easy to get to, easy parking situation, and great concessions. One of the best concert venues in the Bay Area.

First time at the venue and can't wait to go back. Wow! What an experience. Seats were a lot closer than they appeared to be on the map when I bought them and they were worth every penny. The sound quality of the 3 bands was amazing (not too loud or heavy with bass like some venues can be). The concessions were pretty good as well, however, a bit slow at times, which was slightly frustrating. The only downside was the parking (or possible lack thereof) and the people running the parking who apparently didn't know what they were doing. We waited in traffic for at least an hour, which was aggravating. Overall thought it was a great experience and I'll be going back if there's a band I want to see.

The venue is a bit of a hike from parking/dropoff areas, so be prepared to walk or make arrangements for a golf cart pickup if you have mobility issues.

Concert was amazing and venue was great but the staff that directed you to park was lousy. Some were rude and some didn't know where to direct me to park when I paid in advance for premium parking, they made me drive in a circle just to have me park in the same spot that I was at. Honestly if they had just wrote the letters of what parking people should go to on the tarmac or arrows etc, it would have been fine without the attitude of the workers. Please make sure your parking attendants understand the parking setup to make it smoother experience for others.

This is one of the best venue's for seeing live concerts. There are plenty of seats as well as a great grass area to sit and watch. It is not monster sized like many arena's, so even in the back you get a great view. Definitely go as much as we can.

These places are fairly similar anywhere you go. The differences are usually facilities, concessions and occasionally seating. Concord had decently clean bathrooms (considering large crowd), and typical concessions. It was easy to get to the facility and parking was simple. Where they flubbed was the seating in that sometimes acts with very large stages like KISS eat the first few rows. In other words there is no Row "A" in certain spots and the section might begin with Row E. Here they sold seats in all rows regardless of the stage set up, and just adjusted by making everyone move 3 rows back which created confusion because you go to sit in the row marked "E" and are told all rows are off by 3 so what is marked Row "E" is now Row "B" and when it is packed and you are suddenly coming in, not everyone has heard of the row changes so everyone has to keep explaining to each other they are in the wrong row. Couldn't you just re-write the Rows with chalk on the floor or print an 8 1/2 x 11 Letter and post at each end of a row? It would literally take a few minutes before the doors open and would save confusion, frustration and potential conflicts.

This outdoor venue can get very cold as the sun drops and the wind picks up. For a good time be sure to take a blanket or two. The view from the top of the hill that creates the amphitheater like venue is great. Prices at the food and drink vendors are on the high end.

Wife and I saw Barry Gibb Concert on May 31, 2010. First, this was a great concert. Barry Gibb has a wonderful voice, the music is timeless, the portfolio of music written or performed by the Bee Gees is amazing. This was "a once in a lifetime' experience to be witness to and participate with one of the true generational legends of music. That being said, the concession stand is operated by ARA. The wait time for food/beverage was over 35 minutes. We stood in line from 7 PM to 7:50 PM, missing MOST of the opening act. The prices are outrageous, the food choices limited. ARA should BE ASHAMED of themselves for this service. And, if you talk to anyone who has been to the Pavilion in the past, this is no secret. If you want to enjoy the venue, BRING YOUR OWN food and beverage. Don't stand in line for lousy service and pay over $50 for cheeseburger, hot dog or chicken fingers/fries for two people. Second, there is no control over the ticket holders once concerts start. People were allowed to stand in aisles, blocking the view of those who paid good money for their seats. We literally had to "beg" the ushers to ask people to return to their seats. Frankly, I think this should have been an announcement at the beginning of the performance, as it is also a "fire/safety" issue that I think is a violation of code.To add to our frustration, I purchased tickets/parking on line, but because the equipment at the front entrance wasn't working, we had to wait for the parking attendant to hand write the information for her records and then wait an additional ten minutes while a supervisor wrote a "hand written" ticket entrance ticket for us. The usher then seated us in the wrong seats and we had to move after the show started.

Went to see The Cult and had a great time. Didn't see a bad seat in the house. Sound was good but be prepared to drop some coin if you are going to drink.
