My husband and I went to the Longaberger Homestead and it isn't worth the trip to Ohio. The Homestead appeared to be run down with very few visitors. There were hardly any clerks to wait on people in the Homestead and was depressing to witness this place going down hill. Don't be disappointed -- Don't go.

Just the very best spending fun time with my wife at a place she has visited for over 30 years never missing one. We have become friends with the Longaberger's and enjoy seeing them every year.

The Homestead was sold in 2014 and I have been told that it will mean good things for those visiting the Homestead. The Longaberger store will remain open. The Homestead has been looking rundown and unloved for several years. Hopefully the owners will fix the parking lot issues and give the landscaping some needed love and attention. When I was there in December 2014 I found some really good deals with items being 50%off

Stop here to begin and complete your shopping for loved ones and friends. Not only do they have any type basket you could ask for, they also have about anything else to outfit a home, especially a kitchen. You can even make your own basket under the watchful eye of a craftsman. They have an old, large barn that has been moved onto the property. Make this place a definite stop on your way though east central Ohio.

Factory tour and making basket great, shopping at Homestead disappointing because they are in process of selling to different group. Dresden shopping okay, not like the old days, shops are doing their best in this economy

My husband, 15 yr old son and I stopped along our way home since I have several baskets myself. I was quite surprised at how deserted the place appeared. I'm told it was once the place to visit. We didn't get a chance to go on the tour or check out the cafe. We browsed through the shop to find their almost perfect baskets at 50% off. Liners were not available, although some were or you could go across the street to a small basket shop that may have them. I did decide to make a basket as a family project and yes, it was over priced, but we had fun doing it. I could pick out colors I wanted and the little metal decorations around the top. Our basket pro, Rich was helpful and patient. I love my family basket!

Had a great time at Longaberger, we did the tour, made baskets and did some shopping at the 50% off store. Tour was OK. Making a basket was excellent partially because of our fantastic teacher Andy!! Most of the workers were friendly but Andy was especially great. It is sad how dead it is there due to the economy. I would definately go back and make another basket!!

The Homestead has fallen on hard times as has most of the country. It was pretty empty, both employees and customers and none of the country charm is still here. No flowers, no family members, no welcome to our business.Hopefully things will be turning around soon.

Finding the location for the tour vs the shopping was a little confusing. There are not any signs it seems! The place looked deserted. After finally finding the tour location, we found the tour fairly interesting - almost an hour tour. Then went back to the Homestead (2 mins away) to look at baskets for sale. I'm sorry, but I personally find them too expensive, even at 50% off. It's a shame the location doesn't attract more people as it did in the past. The landscaping is unfortunately not being taken care as it could.

You can tell this was once a busy place. Lots of parking lots, now they are empty. The one used is in disrepair. Many dandelions though other areas are nice. Maybe about a dozen people were there. The baskets are lovely, but very expensive. The pottery is made in China. Sad place.....
