Rising Park is a Lancaster landmark that should not be missed. This city park provides plenty of fun and exercise for the whole family. Whether it is a frolic around the fountain and reflecting pool or a game of soccer or frisbee on the grass, this respite is relaxation for anyone..if you are more adventuresome or fit tackle a hike to the top of MtPleasant for a fantastic view of the city and surrounding landscape. Winter, spring, summer or fall provides the backdrop for a chance to get away from the daily grind.

Not a whole lot going on at Rising Park. They have a kids play ground, a tennis court, picnic, a pond and a small hiking trail.

Just a pleasant break, with rolling hills surrounding a small lake. Great photo ops all year round. One of my favorite spots to relax and look around. Always busy, but rarely crowded.

A gem in Lancaster. Whether you want peaceful rest in the shade or a vigorous hike, this is a great place. The playground is nice and picnic areas are abundant. However, the mountain could use more monitoring by the park or city staff. Signs of overnight sleepers was present on the last hike I took. I would not allow my kids to go there without an adult.

Wonderful place for a family day. Great playground equipment, plenty of places for a picnic and a simple, yet somewhat challenging hike offering spectacular views at the top. Like a very compact version of the Hocking Hills. Our new family favorite.

Climb the mountain for a great view of the city. They have benched along the way to the top if you need to take a break. Well worth the treck to the top.

I recently visited the park while on a family vacation and visiting my hometown. I was nervous that it would not live up to my childhood memories. However I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a beautiful as I remembered. It. Has several shelters for small to large picnic events, a nice sized playground area, tennis courts, horse shoe pits and of course a wonderful panoramic view of the city atop Mt. Pleasant. This is still one beautiful park!!

Great multiple playgrounds for toddlers and up. Very well maintained grounds. Also a great trailhead and hike to the top of Mount Pleasant. Our two-year-old had fun swinging, climbing, sliding, and watching the ducks. Bravo, Lancaster!

Everything you'd expect in a well-used community park. A hiking trail to the top of Mount Pleasant for a terrific view. A pond with fish and fowl. Picnic pavilions. A large playground. Horseshoe pits. Tennis courts. Baseball fields. Stately trees offering comfortable shade. This is one of Lancaster's gems.
