The weather wasnt great but the place was still beautiful. Super helpful "bartender" in the tasting room really made the experience. We weren't blown away by what we tasted but then we arent super wine fans so... grain of salt i guess. Definitely a worthwhile stop!

Over the years we have toured and tasted at many fine wineries from Australia to South Africa and across the US and Canada. But we consider ourselves fortunate to have this exceptional small local winery just an hour's drive away. Today we packed ourselves a picnic lunch and enjoyed it accompanied by an excellent dry white out on their deck overlooking the pond and ripening grapes in the vineyard. We followed lunch with an informative tasting of 5 of the wines they still had in stock in late September. Four of their most popular varieties had already sold out completely! That tells you something. Next vintage year we will make it a point to visit much earlier in the season and stock up on our favorites before they disappear. All of Lincoln Peak's wines are grown exclusively in their own vineyards- from blossom to bottle- a rarity in Vermont.

We stopped by this winery on our most recent trip to Vermont and were very happy with it. It was a week day afternoon so we had the place to ourself. They make their own wine from grapes and we were able to do a tasting of 6 of their wines. We enjoyed every one of them and bought a case before we left. We enjoy getting the souvenir glasses as well, but other wineries usually give you clean ones when you check out not wrapping your tasting glasses. The patio we sat on was overlooking a pond and you could pick sun or shade. We also enjoyed some delisious cheese as well, with our glass of wine.

This winery is in a lovely setting. The tasting was good. Our server was less talkative than the server of another party and I found myself a bit disappointed that the wines weren't discussed more. They had Cabot's cheese and crackers out. We sat on the porch with glass of wine and enjoyed the setting. If you return and bring your glasses you can have another tasting free!

This vineyard is in a nice quiet location with a deck overlooking a pond. The owner's daughter, Sarah, gave us our wine tasting and was very personable and knowledgeable about her product. In addition to the wine tasting (5 wines for 5 dollars) you can purchase a glass of wine to enjoy on the spacious deck. The wines were good (including the red which I am not necessarily a fan of). I would definitely go back to this vineyard if I were in the area again.

I believe this was the third time we visited the vineyard while vacationing in the Lake George area. The vineyard makes its wine from "cold climate grapes" so some of the grapes are not well know. They offer tastings(5) for a fee, but you do keep the glass. Hostess was very friendly and had an excellent knowledge of wine making and their grapes. No a large vineyard but quite nice. They do offer some concerts on the property. Will be returning when back in the area.

A group of six friends (60+ years) visited this vineyard during our stay in Middlebury. Not only did we enjoy the tasting and the wine, but we enjoyed the pleasant conversation with the owner's daughter. I would recommend a visit to this vineyard.

At the close of a good afternoon in Middlebury, we drove to the north of town to sample the wares of this vineyard. It was a great experience. We started out with their $5-for-5 tasting flights, and since they only have seven variieties, we were able to share and sample the entire range--with an extra dollar for a final tasting of their Cassis. There's no arguing taste, but some of their varieties were fabulous in our opinion; we then settled on their porch with glasses of dry white, taking our time to emjoy their little lake, being serenaded by frogs, Our final transaction was to put together a six-pack of our favorites. Could not have been a better way to transition out of tourist mode before going back to the B&B and resting up for dinner.

I went here for a social event one sunny warm summers afternoon in June. We sat by the pond, the frogs croaked and the breeze wafted...we could easily have been in Oregon or California...and we tasted wine! Lincoln Peak is not what you would expect to find in Vermont. Vermont now even has a wine trail and a passport to locate the vineyards, cos' there are several throughout the State. The selection of wines, all grown and produced on the 12 acres of the vineyard was impressive. I like dry wine so the sweeter offering were not to my taste, but their Black Sparrow 13, a dry crisp white was VERY good...so I bought some to take home! They even make their own cassis from their own blackcurrants....and blackcurrants are so hard to find in the US as the humble bush was banned for decades.I was really impressed with the quality of the Lincoln Peak vineyard and will not take much more notice of local produced wine.Sara who did our tasting is a bubbly fun person who knows about wine from her father, who took his 30 years of strawberry farming knowledge and reinvigorated the family farm as a vineyard. Faith he had and he has been rewarded! For $5.00 you get to taste the whole selection and then you get to take your glass home...if you bring it back you can have another free tasting every time!Hailing from the UK I know how in the last 20 years UK wine quality has developed and now produces some award winning world class sparkling wines. Vermont is on the right path...and that is the only benefit I can see that global warming has had! And don't forget....it's all local....

Small, cosy vineyard. Really nice wine and a perfect place for a quick snack. Reasonably priced wine tastings are available. Extra points - they will let you keep the wine glass after the tasting.
