My wife and i moved to Vermont from Manhattan this past July and by a wonderful coincidence became acquainted with Nancy Bergman and Kyle Frey, the proprietors of SpoonWood Cabin Creamery. Had we come upon their shop in our New York neighborhood it would have been a exceptional find, but here in Vermont it is a gift from the gods. They make on their premises exceptional cheeses, they sell an array of wonderful and affordable wines and there is a cafe nook on the premises where you can eat superb prepared foods or sandwiches or take them home. If you are fortunate to be nearby during one of their wine tastings or lectures on wine or cheese you will be mesmerized by the depth of their knowledge and devotion to their craft. Their shop should be a destination on any trip to Southern Vermont.
