This is a wonderful place to take the family, and it'll only cost you a few dollars per car to get in. This money goes to helping keep it all clean, and there is a small water park for the kids, a beach to play on, and even a park that you can enjoy. It's clean, friendly, and there are always facilities making it easier to take your kids and accomodate them.

We wanted to travel from Pensacola back down through Jacksonville and continue to Coral Springs camping. this particular park was perfect for us to stay at for a few days while we viewed the Jacksonville, Saint Augustine sites.I highly recommend resume Saint Augustine and if you want stay at Kathryn Abbey you won't be disappointed. it is a very reasonably priced full hookups campground with lots of amenities.

This campground is great!!! It is huge and so close to the beach. Big rigs are welcome but bring your "A" game driving in here; and don't even think about showing up after dark. You'll be better off waiting till morning to get in your site. With that being said the campground is fantastic! LOTS of trees and sites are pretty private. Occasional BlackHawk helicopter fly over breaks up the peaceful atmosphere. We did the hiking trail in about an hour and a half and there seams to be s bunch of bike trails kept separate by fences. This place will be a "must come back to" place on our travels we really enjoyed it.

This park is amazing. It truly is Florida's best kept secret. Since it is a City Park and not a State Park, it is not booked solid and you can actually get a reservation here. The rates are very reasonable, comparable with the state parks. Also, every site is a full hookup site. This is a big advantage over the state park campgrounds. There are almost 300 campsites. The park is very shaded and the campground is gorgeous with vegetation and shade. The campground is not directly on the beach, but it is a very short 1/2 mile walk or drive over to the beach. And, with the windows open, you can hear the waves crashing from your camper. Dogs are allowed on this beach, too. This is another big plus. All around, we love it and recommend it! It's just a short drive south to find anything you need or want in the way of groceries and restaurants.

Based on an earlier visit, we recommended this park for our two oldest sons, who were visiting us. One had rented a trailer near his home and the other rented a trailer in Jacksonville, which was towed to their campsite just prior to their arrival. All marveled at the size and privacy of their campsites. They could not see each others rig, despite even though they were in adjacent sites. Reservations are possible in the city park and are recommended, although this is a very large campground.

We camp here quite often. It is a great atmosphere to get away from all the daily traffic and congestion here in Jacksonville. The entire campground is encompassed under a canopy of old trees! Staff and host campers are always friendly and helpful. It is also a great spot to visit the beach. There is a nominal fee to enter if you are not already camping, but it is worth it!

We found Hanna Park after searching for state parks to camp in last December. This park is run by the city of Jacksonville and we came away very impressed. The campground was great and all of the spots had a sewer hook up too. Awesome bike trails and kids play areas and beach. Great location for a get away or family vacation.

Hanna Park is the place to have a day on the beach. There is more than ample parking within a few steps to the beach. You can swim, surfboard, or just have a romantic walk along the beach. It is not as crowded like to other beaches in the area.

This park has the ocean, fresh water lakes, camping, hiking and biking trails. The grounds are well maintained.

We travel in a motorhome full time so we are camped in the camp ground, They have great trails to walk and have bike trails that are very challenging. and a walk to the beach of course that are well cared for. The problems I see are the markings ,They have Low trees and they are not marked . Living in a camper I have never hit a tree yet but on these trees they have scares from those that have hit them, and it looks like the camper got the worst of it. The trails like I have said are great but they cross the roads where Motorist are and the are unmarked the bikes and hikers will pop out of the woods right in the roads with no warning,This is the reason for a low rate Not because of the beauty at all.
