Wow, what fun. What a great to see some many pelicans together, plus storks, egrets, ibis and most especially a roseate spoonbill trolling the clam filled coast. It was thrilling and very lovely on Christmas morning.

A fantastic walk through the Indian mound and mangrove swamp with an eagle in its perch at the top of the mound. A lovely setting next to the marina.

the water isn't pristine which is a pity, and some of the trail docks need work (I think a boat ran into one of them- lol), but the trail winds around the dunes, is very shady, and has strategically placed benches for lazy hikers and dog walkers. There are water fountains, and part of the trail is directly on the waterfront sea wall. The views are excellent. It's a great place to walk your dog, have a jog, or just commune with nature. It is only a couple of blocks from my house, so my dog and I go down here frequently and sit for the sunset show.

We walked the trail and boardwalks as we watched for birds. Among species seen were Mottled Duck, American Oystercatcher, Leas Bittern, Green Heron, Wood Stork and many more. It was a quiet, pleasant birding experience. As we arrived, we saw 5 Nanday Parakets flying away from the marina in the opposite direction from the park. When we left the park, we cruised the neighborhood and refound them.Portapotty only.

Clam Bayou Nature park is very small, but cute. It has (maybe) a quarter mile of walking trails which include a couple boardwalks over and though some mangroves. Fishing is popular in and around the park and they have a nice fish cleaning station (complete with running water and hungry pelicans) located near the parking lot of the park.

Quiet and with great walking paths this is an area worth visiting. The serenity of the waters and the oysters actually spitting water out at different times is worth seeing. Take your time and enjoy some nature here.

Free kayak launch and gravel walking trail. You need to watch the tides as I would not go at low tide. Gazebo look out over the waterway. Bird sanctuary area. Nice and quiet. Could use some work on the overlook docks.

If you happen to be staying in Gulfport the park provides a lovely setting for a daily stroll. It can only be a few hundred metres all round but it's a lovely setting and the platforms over the water are beautiful. It's quiet and relaxing.

Located on Boca Ciega Bay next to the Gulfport Yacht Club, Clam Bayou is an excellent place to hike among nature within the city. You will see peaceful inlets, clam shell mounds created by the original indigenous residents centuries ago, and fishing piers in use by local residents. A relaxing place to hike or kayak!

Clam Bayou is a great place for a relaxing walk along a series of inlets and mangrove. The trail includes walkways out to nearby islands for a better view of the fish and birds that frequent the area. There are nesting Osprey overlooking the trail and if you are lucky you will see one catching a fish. The trails are dog friendly and have strategically located bags to clean up after your pet. There is also a nice gazebo at the top of one of the dunes overlooking the Bayou. For the more adventuresome there is a kayak rental nearby where you can simply rent a boat or take a guided tour of the Bayou waterways. The fish cleaning station near the parking area is a great place to watch pelicans and wood storks compete for the leftovers. If you love sunsets, this is the place to be at the end of the day.
