I have taken my children and grandchildren here. Lots of activities for the kids, with nearby seating for parents/grandparents to keep an eye on the children. I haven't used the walking trails. there is new construction going up around park so now it doesn't look like it's in the country like it did in the past

Great biking and walking paths and a very fun playground for kids, room to spread out, run around and picnic. Beautiful all year round.

Enjoyed a nice walk on the trails through the park on a 50 degree day in February (3 miles of paved trails). Although the wildflowers and the prairie weren't in bloom, there's still lots to see including a nice collection of outdoor art in the Wandell Sculpture Garden (always fun to give your own name to the sculptures). The 80 acre park includes a playground area, a prairie overlook, grills, restrooms and an interpretive center along with community garden plotsand an herb garden. The park is well used - and there are two parking lot locations.

There is a lovely path all the way around the park. Aside from the nice foliage, there are some really interesting statues.

Well, if you enjoy walking alone, or together, this is the place for you. Their are statues/figures throughout the paths and plenty of greenery to ease your soul.

I have been going to Meadowbrook park for years now. I enjoy running and this park has nice paths that make it easy to run on. There is a map showing the distance for each path in the park. I have seen deer on many occasion and the prairie has wild flowers, berries and grasses. Great for families with little ones. They play ground is very nice.

We were here for the National Multiple Sclerosis Walk 2014. There were about 300 people that were Walking to find a cure for MS. The park is beautiful, the grounds were spectacular. The day was perfect. The Park District should be proud of this location.

We are from New England, but visit Champaign frequently. Meadowbrook Park is an impressive attempt to preserve the authenticity of the prairie, a little known ecosystem to folks from the East! The flora and fauna were abundant when we were there. Hawks overhead, red winged black birds and nesting swallows spoke to the importance of maintaining this diverse habitat. The prairie flowers were beautiful and the sculpture garden was a surprising treat. We spoke about how we wished our three year old grand daughter could take advantage of the castle playground. Two sets of restrooms made for a perfect afternoon.

I don't know what folks see in this place. A pathway through a bunch of weeds punctuated with some artwork that seems out of place and cheap. Add a whole bunch of screaming kids and folks on bicycles and it makes you know why you would only visit once.

Wonderful slow cooked smoked meats, turkey, pork, beef. The meat is so tender it melts in your mouth. I also love their smoked baked potatoes, sometimes I just have one of those and that is a meal in it's self! The corn bread is very good with fresh corn baked into it and the ranch style baked bean are delicious with thin strips of meat in it.Their blackberry cobbler is to die for. I have had them cater several events for me and the food got rave reviews. The atmosphere is fine for lunch but I often go through the drive up for dinner and take it hom. This is a locally owned business whose owners are involved in the community so it is great to support them.
