Located on Scenic View Dr, this lookout is a must stop if you are in Page. A short hike down a trail -stairs, steps on rocks to the rim of Glen Canyon, you get a commanding view of the Glen Canyon dam and Lake Powell. Amazing.

Best views of Lake Powell and Colorado River are from the behind the building of the recreational area information center. Drive around and look for the stairs down to look out and photo op areas.

We took the tour and received great information on the history of the dam. The cost is only $5 and is well worth the tour.

Didn't even think of this before we reached Page, but we had two hours to kill after breakfast for a raft trip. Dropped in here. There are many displays on what the dam accomplishes, a decent souvenir shop, etc. What's most amazing is the dam and its views are almost as cool as Hoover, but we paid nothing for it, and didn't have to fight traffic and a million people to see it. The views are good, both downstream into the climbing canyon walls, and upstream to Lake Powel. If you're in Page, it's just stupid to not stop here.

I found the dam tour a bit boring, but it was fun to walk out over the dam itself. My husband the engineer loved the tour. Lots of facts about the building of the dam and how it operates.
