We had Mike as a guide for a morning for a Civil War tour of Savannah. He was well-informed, interesting and we had a great time while learning a great deal more than I expected about Savannah's history, particularly through the Civil War. We would highly recommend Mike and this tour.

This is just an FYI for those visiting Savannah who enjoy a well-done walking tour. Savannah, the Walking City has been offering excellent walking tours for years, but the owner has gone on temporary hiatus become of family duties. That's the bad news, but the good news is that the company continues under the auspices of another tour company with the same knowledgeable tour guides offering not only the Basic History Tour and the Civil War Tour but also 2 new tours, "Midnight at Twilight" to salute "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil opening as a Broadway musical next year and "the Romance of Savannah," a more in-depth look at famous Savannahians who lived around the historic squares.The only difference is the phone # - to make a reservation or get info, call (912) 238-5160.
