Mrs. Elizabeth Beers offers cemetery tours in late October. This is a great way to visit this historic part of Newnan. You will learn quite a few facts about the folks spending eternity there and the impact they made on the surrounding area during their life.

Great place to visit for history. Have family buried there and although I am from there I live in Florida now. Anytime I have called just to check on things they are always willing to go that extra mile. If you are in Newnan or close by take the time to stop by and check it out. You will not be sorry you did.

Has a Confederate section with many historic graves. Two governors are buried here. Many interesting markers.

A quiet well kept historic cemetery in down town Newnan. Newnan was a hospital city during the civil war so it contains tons of history. This cemetery has all the notable names in Newnan from bygone years and a few notable names from history.

Our family enjoyed seeing the historic graves, but we were disappointed that the veterans' graves were not decorated for Memorial Day. How sad and neglectful. At other historic cemeteries, they have not only flags - but even ceremonies to acknowledge the sacrifices made by our vets.
