We saw the posters all around the area of a concert in the open air theatre at the top of the fortress. So we decided to go as it was only 10 euros. When we got into the venue it was packed with people gaining all sorts of vantage points. We climbed up the rocks at the back and had a great view. We are in our mid 50's and found that everyone else was young as it was a concert by a well known Montenegrin pop star Vlado Goergiev. The atmosphere was great and everyone was singing along apart from us of course. The performance by Vlado was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Herceg Novi is full of such fortresses and all I've been through. I am sorry that no one has written about other fortresses. Maybe they were not even on them because they have to climb a lot to them. I visited them all with my girlfriend and daughter :) This is the most preserved fortresses and the closest city. Theatre is cleverly located in this beautiful castle.

Although this theatre is pretty old (think stone seats), it regularly hosts concerts and theatre productions. It's quite lovely because it's open air and it opens up to the sea in the background.It takes some stairs to get up there, and the fee to get it is about 2 euros, and totally worth it. The view from above and very nice as well.

My family and myself visited Montenegro in the summer of 2012. We we pleased with the relative cleanliness of the beaches and water which was crystal clear. There is a lot of walking to reach the beach and a lot of "climbing" to get from the beach. Also I felt there was not much of a choice when it came to the supplies from the local supermarkets. We found it difficult to get hold of a good steak to prepare in our rented apartment. The old town and the Theatre are very beautiful but access can be difficult for those with walking problems - requiring wheelchairs. As my wife and I are pretty fit people, we did suffer somewhat with all the stairs. That being said, if artificial paths are created it would spoil the authenticity of the place.Definitely worth a return visit that we will extend to other cities and towns on the bay of Kotor.

Театр представляет собой древнюю крепость. Внутри можно полазить по стенам, с которых открывается великолепный вид на море. Были в сентябре 2014. Крепость работала с 9 до 24 часов. За вход берут 1 евро.

Тихо, спокойно, и без суеты. Сам город в октябре уже замирает, туристов почти нет, а погода стоит прекрасная и солнечная. Хорошее разнообразие.

Красивые виды на море и горы, немного народу, расслабляющая атмосфера. Некоторые особо одаренные голосом даже что-то пытаются спеть в амфитеатре. Нам повезло - была замечательная двойная радуга над городом, которая начиналась так близко, что казалось можно подойти и потрогать ее.

Виды на море и город - очень достойные. Место вполне атмосферное. Но, если учесть, что в Херцег-Нови не так много достопримечательностей, то поддерживать чистоту и порядок имеющихся не так и сложно должно быть, но в данном случае, вероятно, очень сложно. Особенно удручающий вид у амфитеатра после вечеринок и каких-либо концертов. Вход платный: 1 евро.

Это самая высокая точка старого города Херцег-Нови. Подниматься до театра не просто ))) Хотя весь Херцег-Нови на холмах. Красиво постоять в амфитеатре и громко что-нибудь продекламировать. При этом внизу как на ладони залив и горы. Рекомендую тем, кто физически силен )))
